Title: Custom Arches or Entrances to Exhibits
Post by: zoohio on May 31, 2006, 04:02:50 AM: As promised, I will show some fun Arches or Entrances to Exhibits. I will be adding some new ideas when I work them out, so check back!

Step #1
Start with a Elevated Walkway 6 sections long. Use as many as you want, but this is for example:

Step #2 Click on the up Elevated Walkway tab and starting on the right, drag up to the middle of the previous Elevated Path that you created:

Delete any posts that are in the way:

I used the high Wooden Elevated Fencing to add to the edges of the existing structure:

Step #6
Now the fun begins! I want to add decorations to the Arch way. I add an additional 2 Elevated Path squares to the center:

Decorate as you like! I decided to create a Northern Trek Themed Custom Arch using Totem Pole and Artic Torches. Add some foliage! And it should look like this:

I wanted to create 2 columns on either side. To do this make 2 short sections like this:

Using the Delete or Bulldozer tab, I carefully removed the corners of to add some fun structural elements to the Arch:

This Custom Arch will double as a part of the Jeep Tour. This will eliminate the people from stopping the Jeeps.
I started with two shorter sections to get the columns symetrical:

Then I placed the Jeep Tour path on the structure. I added the Elevated Path in the back to be a bit higher and placed statuary and lamp posts. I also placed some higher walls on the elevated path for the scenery when riding the Jeep:

if only there was a way to save a collection of objects such as this one so you could build the archway once and then save it, then just place it again. that would make my day.
