Well having had a few days off work (not enough!) I have been building. I wanted to show some really nice, natural looking pics, like the amazing pics of TaraM. But I know Tara said she didn't feed the animals, or give them any enrichment objects (such a mean girl! :lolol: ) so I though I would compromise. This zoo will never be opened, and does not have exhibits as such, just separation between hunter and prey. But I am feeding and 'entertaining' the animals, and some pics will show food and toys. But mostly I am trying to show animals in a natural environment.

Anyway, here are some pics.

Natural place.

Such a pretty sky...: :) :

Everyone's getting along well, All Creatures Great and Small!

This is the last for now, and my favourite pic. Okapi At Dusk

As I going into this zoo, I am adding and moving foliage. So don't be surprised if you see more and more trees, plants and rocks as I post more pics!

Thanks guys!

Seaworldgurl, thats the effect I was going for! : :) :  As I've said, I put food and enrichment around and in some pics you can see them, but I really like the okapi pic because theres none of that!  As for a wildlife reserve, there are some pics a few pages ago where I did just that - although it was only because I had to. My pc needed more RAM badly, and opening a zoo and having guests meant it took anything up to 30 minutes to save a zoo!  Now I am all 'rammed up' I am doing both - a tropical reserve, and a regular zoo.

More pics this weekend, hopefully!: :) :

As everyone has already stated, the part looks awesome and so very natural! I always enjoy your pics, you know but I think you have outdone yourself!

And I'm so happy the bug is gone. Whew! That's one happy gibbon!

Thanks everyone! : :) :

Well, how's this for embarrassing?! :blushing: I was just looking through my old zoos (I have 'quite a few' ), and I found one I'd forgotten about! Its built on a temperate map, with African-only animals. It looks ok, so I think I will work on it a bit, show you guys some pics. And maybe submit it for download? I don't know about the last bit yet....

....and two weeks later, here are some pics!!

As I said I have only African animals in this zoo. But because of the diversity of the continent, I still have a nicely varied zoo. Obviously I have savannah and trf animals to show you, but first, someone from a cooler climate....

Next door to the wolves I have some geladas. I will try to show some pics of them next. And hopefully it will be sooner than two weeks this time! lol

Good job, but don't keep us waiting!

In the background of the photo labeled 'canine pair', what is that building with the green roof?

OK, geladas (by the way, question, please? Geladas -pronounced with a  'hard' g or 'soft'? )

This one always seems fed up for some reason - Senor Grumpy
