Okay, it's time for the good news, bad news game.
First, the bad news. Almost a week ago, my computer died. Okay, technically it fried. Some electrical problem or something. I lost everything, including all of the zoos I was working on.

Good news...I have a new computer. And I was able to put ZTCC back on and build. Some of you might remember that I was starting to go through the scenerios again. Well, I'm doing that again.

More bad news...Since the new school semester has started, I might not have tons of time to play right now.

More good news...I'll try to play when I can.

Crazy news...The default screen resolution is very different than on my old computer. I'm having to get used to a 1024 x 768 res. when I was used to a 800 x 600 res. ZT is bigger and clearer than ever!!! But, my eyes are still trying to get used to it. :rolleyes:

Well, I've had time to get through the first scenerio! I only have 1 pic, though. I didn't right down the stats, either, but I had more benefactors than employees. Enjoy the pic!!!

Time for some more good news/bad news.
The bad news is that I still don't have enough RAM to play ZT2. I have 248MB and the system requirement is 256MB (oh, so close!) :(
The good news is that once things are fixed so that files can be uploaded again, I will be submitting my scenerios (well, once I get them done and only if their already under the filesize maximum; my new comp doesn't compress zoo files just like my old one).

I'm sorry to hear that your old puter went to Computer Heaven. I'm sure that, in time, you and your new computer will come to certain agreements and it will take good care of your ZT game and files! :P I'm looking forward to seeing some pics from your scenarios-you've gotten me doing some of them too (silly girl! :lol: )

Oh, BTW, you shouldn't be upset that ZT2 doesn't work on your computer. It got really boring very quickly. I'm so dissapointed by that game, I think I'll give it away. <_<

Firehawk,

Something for you to think about....did the electrical problem affect the hard drive in the old system ?? if not there is a program called drive copy for one and others as well that will allow you to copy the contents of one drive to another or you could install the old drive in the new system and delete the OS and have all that extra storage space and still have access to all your files for ZT on the old drive.

@LadyZ---The scenerios definetly have a different feel to them than the freeform games. I just have to remind myself that I don't have as much money to start off with as I prefer :rolleyes:

@Xtreme---Thanks for letting me know! Glad to know that you're still going to visit my topic!

@Yellowrose---Thanks for the info, but I'm pretty sure it affected my hard drive. Shortly before it died, there was a sudden drop in the amount of memory being used. And once the comp. appeared to be powered up enough to send images to the monitor, the monitor would still be blank. It's crazy! :wacko:

Well, I had time to complete the second scenerio (the Seasideville Zoo). I recorded some stats. I saved the zoo on Apr. 20th. There were 167 guests, 4 benefactors, and 3 of each of the following: Camel, Gemsbok, Zebra, Leopard, and American Bison. ZR was 85, AH was 98, and GH was 96. And, I took more pics!

Here's an overview of the Forest Zoo scenerio. I did write down some stats. It was saved on October 23. Thre wre 202 guests, 34 benefactors, and 3 employees. The ZR was 83, AH was 97, and GH was 96.

The last pic I have to post is another overview. I do have some stats for this scenerio. I saved it on June 16th. The ratings were 87/98/96.
Exhibits and their popularity ratings:
Bengel Tiger 3 stars
Gemsbok 1
Chimpanzee 3 1/2
Black Rhino 2
Siberean Tiger 5 (and had the highest amount of donations)
Warthog 5 (yes, I'm serious! And it was second to the tiger exhibit in donations)
Lion 0
Giraffe 0
Okay, for the last two, there was no way to have a rating. I had just opened the area.

You've done a great job with the scenarios FH! Has anyone looked at the shadows on the floor of the floating shark exhibit? That's crazy :wacko: but neat too! Thanks guys!!! Well, in the past 24 hours, I have been very busy. I finished the Inner City zoo and used a little more than half the space. I'm also almost done with the Save the Great Cats scenerio. I just have to let time pass on that one. I think I have somewhere between 20 and 30 pics of the two zoos. When I find the time to edit and post them, I'll let you guys see them!

The last pic of this bunch (there might be more later) is of the anteater family.

The last saved date for this scenerio was Oct. 17th. There were 23 benefactors, 290 guests, and 24 animals. The zoo had $63,384 and the stats were 86/98/97.

Boy that scenario brings back memories--I did it several times just to try to learn how to use such a small space and still make it pleasant to view. You did a great job hun--way to go!! Maybe I'll see if I can find that old saved game and take some pics of it. Now, about a certain hint... :lol:

Pure perfection FH. Hope you get more time soon to post more pics. What would ZA be without our beloved FH. It's bad enough X'treme and F'man aren't building.

I like to bounce back and do the scenarios every once and a while because they make you shake up your style of design. I get into ruts with what I like sometimes that I don't vary too much from it. What can I say I'm a creature of habit.

The last pic from this section (and for the weekend) is the last new arrival in the zoo.

On April 19 (year 2) the stats were 89/97/97. There werew 6 employees, 40 benefactors, and 466 guests.

Hi, I'm back. Just enough time for one pic. Last night, I gave a teaser shot of my current freeform zoo.
Now, it's time for a teaser shot of the last scenerio I worked on.
It's the Endangered Species Zoo. When you first start the scenerio, your zoo has 2 exhibits already. I decided to redo them. Here's what it looked like when I finished the exhibits...

One more pic tonight. It's a look at the savannah area I'm creating in my freeform zoo. I can't get the warthog suitability past 99 and I can't get the elephant's past 92. Don't remember what the ostrich exhibit is at. All of the other exhibits in this zoo are 100% :)

Wow, FH, those are great pics of some fantasic zoo building. I love that courtyard entrance--very elegant and colorful! Your Savannah section is coming very nicely---looking forward to seeing what you build next!

Just a little update...I've stopped working on my freeform zoo. I am instead working on unlocking some items (manly the statues from show awards). So it might be a few weeks before there are new pics. Sorry about that!

Thanks guys! I have all of the show awards now. Next week is spring break. Even though I'm going to be working a lot and I have some tests and presentations to prepare for, I'm going to try and get many more scenerios completed (the most recent one was the Arctic zoo. I have a long way to go!).
I might post some scenerio pics, though.

I'll try to post some larger pics. :) What I post is actually the pic that will be submitted with the zoo. Speaking of which, I might start submitting these scenerios soon! I'll probably just submit all of the zoos from a level once that level is completed (i.e. I'll submit all of the beginner level scenerios, and then I'll sumbit all of the intermediate when I finish the last one on that level, etc).

One thing I must note is that my scenerios often have exhibits that aren't completed. You can see the edge of the not completed t-rex exhibit

:w00t iz that a part of a zoo you have submitted because if it iz it looks good from what i can see and i gather that,that pond is in an exibit i never new any animal liked that exept the gremlin from zkl ;)

Thanks Xtreme!!! I used the moat because I didn't want to use dino fencing. I just have to remember to get the water placed quickly. My spinosaurs escaped on me once during early construction :crazy

:happy I've got pictures!!! And they show most of this zoo. The zoo I built for the Southeast Asian scenerio is kind of small, though. But, it's still nice. I had ~20 benefactors by the time I won the scenerio. ZR was at 85 (that's how I won it). AH was in the high 90s. GH was ~94.

Just a quick little update. I'm in the last month of the semester, so that mean that a lot of my time has to be devoted to final papers and projects. So, I haven't started on the next scenerio. It's an evil one....the dreaded Island Zoo :bag But, I'm getting some good ideas for when I do have the time to play!

Thanks guys! I was hoping to get some time to play this weekend, but a teacher changed a test date on us. But, I might still be able to squeeze some play time in. It'll take some getting used to, though. I usually have ZT in 800x600 (my monitor is the next size up) and it didn't used to have any problems. But the last time I put the game in, it didn't like changing resolution sizes. So I had to reset the screen res. in the game so that everything shows up properly. Weird!!!
