Would you believe...? I finally dusted off my ZT discs about a month ago after not playing or even looking at it for 9 months. Here are a couple of pics of a new small zoo I was just goofing around with using a map I made last year. I have just forwarded the map to Yellowrose to make available for download in the future.
First up is the Indian Peafowl right next to the entrance.
-
Next up is one of my favorite forest animals, the Moose.
-
The last pic for now is just a quick overview shot. :blushing:
-
Welcome back! It looks very good, especially after a 9 moth break! Hope to see more

Thank you....but be careful what you wish for! :whistling
-
Hi there Lady Z! It looks like you've never left!
Although.... no checkers yet?? LOL
I really like the entrance and hope YR will put it up for download soon!
-
Thank you Sypke...
A few quick pics before dinner is read.
One of my Favorites: the Giraffes.
-
Right next to them are the Zebras, and they have already had a baby!
-
Across from the Giraffe exhibit, we have the Bush Tuck Restaurant surrounded by a tiny little moat.
-
Next to the restaurant I put in the Insect House.
-
Wow... I almost forgot what the first ZT looks like.... [Laughs]
-
Back over on the other side, I built a petting zoo with the American Bison exhibit right next to it. Not shown yet is the Rustic Bistro sitting just to the right of the Moose exhibit. I keep forgetting to take that pic...sorry!
And congrats to me---my 2,500 post!! I never thought I'd see the day!
-
I'm going to take that as a compliment Grey Wolf---Thank You! (so had I!)
-
Nice zoo, it looks so peaceful! Good to see you posting agin!
-
this makes want to play zt1 again! ur really good
-
great to see you back on ZT1, after viewing your show and tell topics i always want to dust off my ZT1 disc.
Your one of my favourite ZT1 Designers! I hope we will see much more from you!
-
Thank you wasabipeas, Mo15 and Taun, your compliments are greatly appreciated. I'm pretty rusty right now after not playing for about 9 months, but it's slowing starting to come back to me. Yellowrose has been testing my map and double checking the downloads I used, so hopefully it will be up soon.
Speaking of YR...THANK YOU GIRLFRIEND!!! While I was sleeping last night she sneeked into my profile and graced me with my new custom title. Rut Ro- --I have some rebuilding to do (didn't use my trademark checkerboard paths on this zoo yet-my bad!).
-
Lady Z's map is now available. You can reach the download through the Latest Downloads Section on the forums or in the Maps or Workbenches - Zoo Tycoon in the downloads.
-
These are AMAZING!!!!!
i was looking at the entrance to the map and it was awesome!!!!
Great job : :) :
-
Bush Tuck Restaurant??
What's that doing?? Can I find it at our DL? :-)
And YR did a good job, you just remember the face of your father and give us some more checker-magic!:blushing:

Wooooo Hooooo!!! Thank you so much for your hard work YR. I noticed that I had messed up on a couple of the file names for the downloads (:sorry: ). I'll try to be more careful next time (and to include them in the .zip file).
Sypke, the Bush-Tucka Restaurant is a ZA download, and I thought I saw it last night when I was "shopping" in the Downloads Isle!
-
You didn't mess up with the filename the name was changed in the downloads at Tek and it took me a while to find it.
-
I got to do a little building this morning and while I was, my Bison had their first baby!
-
So glad you are building again LZNY! I have truely missed seeing your work!!!! :specool:
-
I finally remembered to take a pic of the Rustic Bistro next to the Moose exhibit
-
Bengal!!! Hiya Hun!!! Thank you so much, I appreciate that more than you know!!
Okay, today's hour long build was to create Grizzley Terrace, home to my two new Grizzley Bears. Hope you like! (Note: the checkerboard paths are now back-LOL)
This section isn't finished yet, I still have the landscaping to do.
-
Last pic for tonight-a reverse angle of Grizzley Terrace and the restaurant.I'm going to go and finish my flowering now....
-
Wow! You just have a natural talent! If I'd taken a 9 month break, it would have been back to square one! Everything is perfect! The landscaping inside and outside of the exhibits! I'm just going to have to take a page out of your book!!! Keep up the great work Master Zoo Builder!!!!
-
Well with all the new paths that are now available at ZA, Zoo Tek Evolved and Zoo Tycoon Unleashed I expect to see some pretty colorful checkerboards from our resident Checkerboard Queen.:whistling :woot: :innocent:

FH & WBFD--many thanks for your sweet words of encouragement and support. As for not playing, well I'm just taking my time and not putting a real theme on this one. However, I chose this map to see what it might do to the guest happiness and the benefactor numbers. So far, this zoo has only been open for 1 yr, I have almost 300 guests, GH is 91, AH is 99, zoo rating is 86, and I have 26 benefactors. Not too bad for a test run-I must say I am very pleased so far.
FH--I don't think you'd be able to read my writing, but if you want my building book, help yourself to any part of it. You've already mastered my checkerboard paths, way beyond anything I've ever done in your newest zoos. Time for the "youngin'" to teach the Old Lady a thing or three... .
YR, you have to stop spoiling me like this! Thank you so much for the links-when I get some computer time tonight after work I will DEFINATELY be going shopping...thehehehe :innocent: TY Girlfriend!!!
And thank you to one and all for being so gracious and welcoming...it's nice to be "home" again.
-
A few pics from some quick building I did last night and this evening. You'll remember that I needed to finish up some landscaping leading to Grizzley Terrace. Well here is some of it.
-
I very quickly added the Animal Theatre and a brightly colored restaurant below the terrace. Again the landscaping needs to be fine tuned. I tried to build a patio effect with the restaurant but I know I can do better.
-
Tonight I made some additions to the Savannah side. Here are my Flamingos, and no sooner did they arrive, so did babies!
-
I turned the foliage off for this pic so you can see the corner viewing area I built. It's also the path to get to the other side of Insect House--pretty sneeky, huh?
-
Across from the Flamingos and next to my Zebra (who are now breeding like rabbits!) are the Gazelles. There is a Baskin Robbins next to their exhibit.
-
Last pic is a quick overview looking over the Savannah side. Hope you like! :blushing:
-
Just a quick question. Are you having any financial sucess with the Baskin Robbins? As many times as I put one in my zoos, it was always a bust, financially.
-
I seem to have pretty good luck with BR, but that's because I always put it in the midst of several exhibits. That's one of the secrets I learned-put your restaurants facing exhibits so the guests will see the animals as soon as they come out. Hope this will help you in the future!
-
You probably don't know me, as I don't think you were here when I joined, but before I joined I watched your zoos for a while as a guest and you are amazing at zoobuilding. Keep it up! :specool:
-
Yes, Tigeress, I do remember you. You joined while I was a Moderator here last year, just before I left. I sent you a Welcoming PM and you wrote back to me. Thank you for your encouraging compliments!
-
Glad to see you are building again LZNY. But where are the checkerboard paths that you are usually use when you make you zoo?!
-
SPEEDY!!! Hiya Hunny!! It''s nice to be back, thank you.
My paths are there, but I'm not using contrasting paths this time. I'm using the Asian tile and the cobblestone, so they sort of blend in together. Next zoo I'll get wild and crazy for ya, okay? : :) :
-
Good,....thought you were someone pretending to be LZNY.
-
Good,....thought you were someone pretending to be LZNY.
No One could EVER pretend to be me...I'm an original!! Besides, Ya'll would see right through an imposter immediately....wouldn't you? :ermm:
-
No One could EVER pretend to be me...I'm an original!! Besides, Ya'll would see right through an imposter immediately....wouldn't you? :ermm:
Maybe not Earl :P
Since i havent known you very long, not me :(
But anyway, i love the new stuff
*runs off with your zoos*
-
She ran off with my zoos?
-
Apparently!
The new pics look great!!! I love the terraces! Awesome job!!! And congrats on the wonderful stats! Keep up the great work!!!
-
I absolutely love all the landscaping LZNY!!!! You know I'm huge on landscaping, and you are doing an awesome job! :worthy:
-
She ran off with my zoos?
Im a guy :D
but its okay though, its what i get for having a girly name :P
-
Well I don't care what you say. 9 months away has not hurt your building skills at all they are just as good now as they were back then.
Awesome stats.
-
Thank you Bengal & YR for your continued encouragement.
Seraphii... :pinch: I am so sorry (how embarassing!). Forgive an Old Lady?
I was looking through some old zoo pics from past zoo builders that I printed out a couple of years ago (yes I still have them). I'm going to try to get a little more....er...exotic (?) with some of my viewing areas. If the truth were to be known, I'm bored with my building skills and need to try to expand on them. Only time will tell if I'm successful. I'll post something in a few days-my loving other half BC is playing his new RTC3 and my ZT time has disappeared for a few days!
-
Dont worry about it!!!
I am counting the seconds until you post more :D
-
Okay, Seraphii, stop counting...here are some new pics for ya! I'm going to try to use the new system of posting on a hosting site-I hope I do this right
Okay, the first pic is a close up view of the viewing area I did for the Moose exhibit. I put the large Moose statue I have in the middle of the viewing area, which guests walk around to see the animals.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterMooseObsCloseUp.jpg
The next two pics are of the landscaping I completed in front of the Animal Theatre below Grizzley Terrace. The 2nd pic is a close up view.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterTheatreLandscaping.jpg
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterLndscpingCloseUp.jpg
I got about an hour of playing time Tuesday night, so I decided to fill in the blank spot near the entrance on the Forest side. Here are Przewliski's horses, who had a baby 20 seconds after they arrived!!
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterPrzewHorsesBaby.jpg
The addition of the Carousel and its' partner the Ice Cream stand went in behind the Gift Shop. The front section of the entire zoo is now complete.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterCarouselIceCream.jpg
Last pic is an overview of the completed Forest Section. I hope to start the next section within a day or two, with some new viewing area designs.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterOviewForest2.jpg
Hope You Like! :blushing:
-
I couldnt get past four XD
My eyes!!!!
its......to......PRETTY!!!!!
*runs away blind*
That is beautiful
I absolutely love the mix of the flowers and ferns :D
-
Wow.
...
Wow.
....
*2 hours later*
Wo--oh forget it.
That's beautiful! I love it! i am going to ahve to use more vaiarty in my zoo style. :pinch: Great job!
-
Wow! :surprise: That is soooooo beautiful. I always love looking at ZT1 zoos... I dunno why, but they always just seem so beautiful and well done. So thanks for continuing to post them and they are absoultely incredible!
-
Ya'll are just too kind, thank you very much for your sweet compliments!
I was able to start the back portion of the zoo yesterday, and had just completed my first Rain Forest exhibit and started another Savannah exhibit, when suddenly everything went to Black!! Yep, my first game crash in over a year!!! I was so bummed as I hadn't saved any of the landscaping in the RF section, and none of the Savannah exhibit was saved.
HOWEVER, I did take 2 pics of the RF side before I lost the game, so here is what it looked like before the crash.
This is the Rain Forest Cafe, acting as a gateway to the new section, and my one of my favorite RF cats, the Black Leopards.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/?action=view¤t=SmWaterBlackLeopRainCafe.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch2
This pic was taken with the foliage turned off so you can get a better look at the viewing area for my cats!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterBlkLeopNoFol.jpg
Now, time to go back through my files and find that nasty bug that shut down my game!!! Hope you like!
-
Looks awesome. I especially like your viewing areas.
-
More beautiful work!!
The Leopards look great
im soooo sorry that your game crashed :crying:
-
I truely love the landscaping LadyZ!! and love to see the checkers back again too!! :-)
I hope you don't mind I saved the pics so I can study them some more.
-
Game crash?!?!? :pinch: That stinks! Good luck getting it taken care of!
I love all of your landscaping! It makes me want to go work on my zoo right now and make it look all pretty! Keep up the great work and good luck recovering your lost building! I hope that you are able to recreate the rainforest exhibit!
-
Ladies & Gentlemen: you are all fabulous!! Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement and support. In a word: You Rock! Sypke-I don't mind at all that you printed them, in fact that is one of the highest forms of compliments you could have given me.
Now about my game: it seems this silly Old Lady needed to get herself a refresher course in Downloads 101 and File Types 101. Seems I removed a zip file from my ZT folder that, obviously, wasn't supposed to be removed. This is what caused my game to pass out  So, after I reinstalled the mysterious zip file, my game has been behaving itself  I was able to redo the landscaping on the Rain Forest side, making only a few little changes, and complete the new Savannah exhibit and add a new attraction yesterday. I did, however, continually save the game over and over as I went (which is NOT a bad habit to have). Although I have taken some pics, BC got to the computer and I couldn't get them edited and uploaded last night. Hopefully I'll be able to get them up before the weekend is over.
LadyZ
-
Game crashes are a ZT1, or ZT2 for that matter, player's worst enemy. I've lost all my zoos--both the work of over a year--twice. Becuase of hard drive faliure etc. And had many crashes when my computer was infected with viruses. Le sigh.
Glad you built it back, and I love the area by the resturant. Good luck with your game behaving itself!
-
Your zoo is looking lovely! I love the scenery! The game crash really sucks, glad to hear it's still coming along! :original:
-
Picture Time!! Yes, I was finally able to get my pics edited and posted, so here they are!
First up, my Grizzly Bears finally had babies!! They were the only ones who were childless up to now!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterGrizzlyBabies.jpg
Now, the redo on the Savannah exhibit that I lost in the crash. I decided to experiment with using a moat and lower fencing with this one. Here are my Lions--and they had babies as soon as they arrived!!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterLionsWithMoat.jpg
Across from the Lion Exhibit, I put in the Desert Terrarium attraction, and made an outdoor exhibit along the side of it called the Living Desert. It still needs work
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterDesertAttract.jpg
Last pic for now is an updated overview of the new part of the Savannah area.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterOviewSavannah2.jpg
-
I'm glad that you were able to figure out what was wrong and that it was an easy fix! I love all of the new pics!!! I patterned one of my new ob. areas after the terraces that you've created! Keep up the wonderful work!!! :winner_fi
-
It doesn't need work
It looks great like the rest of your stuff.
gosh.... you are turning into me XD
-

gosh.... you are turning into me XD
Uummm Seraphii....I think that may be the other way around...I have always been my own worst critic-just ask Firehawke, Yellowrose, and Tex-they'll tell ya!! :pinch:
FH-thank you so much for your encouragement! I on my way to your zoos right now to see them!!!! :blushing:
-
Good Morning! Happy 4th of July to everyone in the USA! I hope you all have a safe and happy day today.
I was able to finish my small zoo last night (yey me! ). I'm going to limit the number of pic links to four so it won't be so overwhelming to try to see them all at one time.
First pic is of the Living Desert Attraction, which I have updated and fixed to be alittle more open and interesting.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterLvngDesertFixed.jpg
Next to the Living Desert I put in my Camels, and they had a baby almost immediately! I also made them a walk through viewing area due to the closeness of the desert attraction.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterCamelBaby.jpg
I went back over to the rain forest area and built a small lagoon effect, and put in a Food Court and a Rides Court. The Food Court was a BIG mistake--my guest happiness dropped immediately and never recovered for the rest of the game! (Note to self--no more food courts! :pinch: )
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterRidesFood.jpg
This is the same area without the foliage.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterRidesFoodNoFol.jpg
-
With the disatrous effect the Food Court had on my guests, I very quickly put in the RainForest Restaurant, with a small moat around it.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterRFrestaurant.jpg
Next to the restaurant, I put in my last exhibit-the Orangutans, my favorite primate! This pic has the foliage off.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterOranutansNoFol.jpg
And finally, the...er...*required* final overview pics.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterFinalOVGiraffes.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterFinalOVMoose.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterFinalOVBlkCats.jpg
And just for fun...!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/SmWaterNewToys.jpg
Hope you like!
-
Soooo.....Im turning into you ? XD
And your right, Improvement did help
it looks Gorgeous!!
If you put it up for download,I will hit it first :D !
-
Thank you Seraphii, but I generally don't put my zoos up for download because of all the user made downloads I use all the time. I don't want to be responsible for anyone else's game having problems.
I forgot to post some final numbers:
GH - 92 (yucky :crying: )
AH - 98
Zoo Rating - 92
Benefactors - 167 (I think that's right)
I ended up with 14 exhibits, 721 guests...and...I didn't write down the rest of them. I was a bit
-
Beautiful Ladyz I'm not good with downloads. Yours looks nice, i wish they had an update patch for zt1 so we can get more stuff without downloading off here. It confuses me.
^^yays
-
Thank you Kiger and Seraphii. I agree that downloads can be confusing at times Kiger, but I would suggest that you start out with very simple ones first like statues or foliage. This will give you a handle on how to unzip them and get used to which folders they will go in to. Just an idea :original:
I started a new zoo last night after I got home from work. I wasn't feeling very well, so I needed to just relax a bit. Here are the first pics of it-I'm using my own map, LZNY Medium Boardwalk Zoo Map availabe here for download in the ZT1 Downloads Marine Mania section.
The entrance with the addition of the Rain forest pond and the Aviary.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkAviaryPond.jpg
The first exhibit is for the Asian Elephants.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkAsianEleph.jpg
Next to the Elephants I put in the Bongos (haven't used them in a while).
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBongos.jpg
The last exhibit so far are my favorite White Bengal Tigers.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkWhiteTigers.jpg
Last pic is the first overview, which also shows the Rain Forest Cafe which was the last thing I put in.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOviewRF1.jpg
I hope to get a bit more done soon, but the next few days are going to be pretty busy for us here. Hope you like! :blushing:
-
Beautiful! I love your entrance with the US Flag and waterfalls
-
Everything is absolutely gorgeous. I love the paths on both of them. Great work!
-
The viewing areas are gorgeous!!
i especially like the bongos viewing platform :D
nice work LadyZ
-
Here are a few new pics from some building I did last night. I filled in some blank spots in the rain forest area and started a Savannah section on the other side of the entrance. Here are the Green Peafowl, which fit perfectly between the Aviary and the Rain Forest Cafe, and the Malasian Tapirs on the other side of the restaurant.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkGrnPfowlTapirs.jpg
I built the Rain Forest restaurant surrournded by a lagoon with a waterfall.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkRFruinsRest.jpg
While I was building some Savannah exhibits, my beautiful White Bengals grace me with a baby!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkWhiteTigerBaby.jpg
The first two exhibits on the Savannah side are the African Elephants and Ostrichs (another animal I don't use very often).
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkElephOstrich.jpg
Behind the Ostrich exhibit I put in the Bush Tuck restaurant with a patio.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOstrichBushTuck.jpg
The patio has now been turned into a viewing patio for the Hippo exhibit. This pic was taken with the foliage turned off.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBushTuckHippos.jpg
Next to the African Elephants is the Desert Terrarium.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkElephDesertTerr.jpg
The last exhibit I built last night was the biggest I think I've done in a very long time. Here are the Lions with a grand viewing terrace.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkLions.jpg
A side view of the viewing terrace, and yes the guests are actually using it!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkLionsSideView.jpg
Last 2 pics are the overviews, the updated rain forest overview is first.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOviewRF2.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOviewSav1.jpg
Hope you enjoy these, I probably won't be back to building for a few days due to some weekend activities. Take care all! :blushing:
-
Wow! Those are beautiful.
My lions breed like rabbits, so they do need big exhibits. I love the viewing area on that one. Very pretty. :D
Keep up the great work!
-
Someone has been very busy!!! Everything looks awesome!!! I'm making some mental notes of things to try in my zoos! Keep up the great job! And congrats on the stats for your last zoo! I, personally, think that a GH of 92 should be celebrated!!! Thanks for posting all of these pics!
-
Nice work!
LadyZ, your zoos are some of the best around :D
i cant wait to see more :D
-
Hello again and thank you to everyone for your wonderful compliments! They are all greatly appreciated.
Well, FH is right-I've been busy building again, but today is the first chance I've had to get the pics posted. My last building session concentrated mostly on the rain forest side. I've created a section that I call Primate Row. It starts with the Primate House, with the Crested Gibbons next to it followed by the Black & White Colobus Monkeys.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkCrestonGibbons.jpg
A better view of the exhibits, and both species have already had babies!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkGibbonsColobus.jpg
At the end of the walkway, and behind the Rain Forest Restaurant, I put in one of my favortive (and shyest) animals, the Okapi. I went a little nuts with their viewing area!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOkapi.jpg
Across from the Gibbons and B&W monkeys, there is the Hard Rock Cafe with a small moat around it.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkHardRockLagoon.jpg
The Lowland Gorilla exhibit is directly across from the Primate House, and they too have already had a baby.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkLowlandGorillas.jpg
Baby pic--he's sooo cute!!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkLowlandBaby.jpg
I did put in 2 new exhibits on the Savannah side--these are the Giraffes.

Their new baby, without the foliage-and you can see that my Lions are going nuts too!

The last new exhibit is for the Flamingos, with a Mexican Restaurant across from them.

Newest overview pic of the Savannah side, and there's a spy in the sky!! Hey, where's his ticket?

Hope you Like! :blushing:

Wow........your zoo is huge. Let me guess (shift+4)???
-
Rats!! Busted Again!! :pinch: This is actually only a medium sized map that I created myself using the Zoo Admin Map Editor. The map is available for download in the ZT 1 section here. (http://zoo.ogresnet.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1393)
-
oh^^ 500,000 just isn't enough when you want to decorate.
-
Great job LadyZ! And congrats on all of the babies!!! I love the moats, BTW. I might just have to try some of my own. Keep up the great work!!! And thanks for posting all of these pics!
-
Amazing zoo, I loved viewing your pics as always! It's decorated beautifully, and everything fits together so nicely.
-
Wow :O That really is a gorgeous zoo!
-
I'm so glad you all have enjoyed my efforts! Thank you very, very much! Well, yesterday I took a day off from the whole world and just vegged and relaxed for the first time in months! So, guess what I did? Yeppers, I just went on a building spree! I have now completed the front half of the zoo. I'm going to do this in 2 posts-this one will show the last of the rain forest section, the next one will be the Savannah side. The back 2 sections will be forest and possibly tundra (haven't quite decided yet). So sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and hopefully you will enjoy the tour!
The centerpiece of the zoo had to be filled in, so I put in the Carousel with my trademark ice cream stand, a small play area with swings and bouncy toys, and LOTS of decorating. When my guests were getting hungry/thristy, etc, I put in Ben & Jerrys.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkCarouselBJplay.jpg
My Black & White Colobus Monkeys kept complaining that their exhibit was too small (which it kinda was) so I enlarged it before I put in the last primate exhibit. This is their newly redone exhibit.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBWmonkeyRedo.jpg
The last rain forest exhibit that was built was for my orangutans--if you look really close you'll see the big guy on top of this jungle jim!!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrangutans.jpg
FINALLY!! I have an Okapi baby!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBabyOkapi.jpg
This is the final overview of the Rain Forest section. Is it me or does everyone think that the Rain Forest sections are always the prettiest to work with?
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkRFfinalOview.jpg

Here are the pics of the last of the Savannah exhibits that I built yesterday. The first exhibit to go in were the Gazelles across from the Carousel.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkGazelles.jpg
The next animal to get a new home were the Olive Baboons, behind the Mexican Restaurant.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOliveBaboons.jpg
The restaurant area needed some sprucing up with more flowers and a couple of fountains.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkMexRestFoliage.jpg
My giraffes needed some nice neighbors, so I moved in some Zebras. What's this??? A "Zoo of the Year Award"?? WOW!! This is only the 3rd time I have ever achieved that award!!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkZebras.jpg
I must love grazing animals, because after the Zebras moved in so the did the Black Bucks, and they started breeding immediately!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBlackBucks.jpg
The next cutie to arrive were the Red Kangaroos--and Mrs was so happy she just layed right down and took a nap.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkKangaroos.jpg
Already??!!!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkBabyRoo.jpg
Behind the Kangaroo exhibit I put in the Elephant ride because my guests were getting bored.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkEleRideRoos.jpg
The addition of one last restaurant across from the Gazelles completed the building of the Savannah section.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkGazellesRestRoos.jpg
And, of course, the final overview of the completed area.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkSavannahFinalOview.jpg
Hope you have enjoyed the tour, I don't know when I'll be able to do more building-it's back to real life today :ermm:
-
Looks great LadyZ!
I love the colors used with the Elephant Ride.
-
wow that looks amazing, i totally forgot zt1 was soo cool
-
LadyZ :D
this stuff is great :original:
you are a mastermind behind zt1 building
-
Wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL zoo!!!!!!
-
Oh wow. I mean really, wow. I know I say this whenever I see great ZT1 work, but I have GOT to find my ZT1 disc! Beautiful work, m'Lady!:worthy:
-
AAwww, c'mon now, it's not all that! Everyone is just so sweet and gracious--thank you so much! I've done some prep work for the back half of the zoo. Most of you who are familiar with my previous zoos know that I like to create terraces and raised levels, so that's what I did last night. I also added a few small attractions and another exhibit on the rain forest side to fill in a gap. I also forgot to include a pic of my Javan Rhino exhibit during the last postings. I'll try to get that one up tonight or early tomorrow. I'm at work right now, so I don't have access to my game...what a shame too--it's so b o r i n g
-
Before I call it a night and completely melt away in a puddle (very hot & humid here in NY state tonight) I decided to post some of the pics that I spoke about earlier.
First up is the Javan Rhino exhibit as promised. They had a baby when I wasn't looking and now he's all grown up too!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkJavanRhinos.jpg
The Komono Dragon exhibit fit in very nicely to fill up a gap I had in the rain forest section.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkKomonoDragons.jpg
Now for the new section--I am theming this front part like an Oriental Forest or garden. This is the entrance (wish I had Oriental arches that are double wide  ).
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrientalForestEnt.jpg
It starts out with the Walk Thru Aquarium, then there's the Ice Pagota. I put in the Koi Pond and the Rock Garden on either side of the Japanese Garden attraction. This pic has the foliage turned off for a better view.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrientalForestEntNoFol.jpg
Here are my beautiful Siberian Tigers :blushing:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkSiberianTigers.jpg
Here is the first overview pic of the Oriental Forest.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrientalForestOview1.jpg
Hope you like!
-
It is beautiful LadyZ!
i really ike the oreintal garden/forest!
i also love the rhino viewing area and exhibit!
and everything else is AWESOME!
-
Thank you Seraphii, I'm having fun with it, but I'm starting to run out of decorating ideas for the Oriental theme.
Change of pace here: last night I decided to make a new map. I haven't done one in about a year  so I just played around with it a bit. Here is a pic of my new LZNY Small Boardwalk Map. It's a change for me as I put the entrance in a far corner instead of right in the middle.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBoardwlkMappic.jpg
I have sumbitted the map for download--and this time I was a good girl :innocent: --no user made downloads :pinch: ( do you KNOW how hard that was?!). Anyway, this is an overview pic of it. If the Admins don't find any problems with it hopefully it will be available in a couple of days.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBoardwlkMapPicOview.jpg
-
That is beautiful!
the boardwalk path plus water makes it beautiful
-
Your rainforest area is an inspiration and your Oriental Forest is beautiful!!! I always love looking at your pics! Keep up the great work!!!
-
I've just been informed that the Admin who has my map is temporarily offline due to modem problems.: :( : They hope to be back up and running on Monday. If anyone had been interested in my latest small map (see above) please be patient as I'm sure it will get uploaded early in the week. :original: Many Thanks!
-
Thats a great idea with all the water, paths and plants. Beautiful map! Keep playing... :-)
-
Woah!that entrance is :specool:
-
Hiya!! (cough cough) Wow this thread got a bit dusty. I didn't realize it's been that long since I last visited here. I have a few new pics of a little bit of building I've done. There are 2 new exhibits and another attraction that have been added to the Oriental Forest, so let's start the tour.
First up, we now have the Insect House on the other side of the entrance to the Forest. Then we have the Asian Black Bear exhibit next to it.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkAsianBearsInsectHs.jpg
I guess my bears like their new home--lookie what I got!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkInsectHsAsianBearBaby.jpg
Behind the Asian Black Bears I put in one of my favorite restaurants-Pizza Hut! Hey, it matched the color theme! : :) :
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkPizzaHutAsianBear.jpg
The most recent exhibit is for the Japanese Serow. I still need to tweak the landscaping around the exhibit and the viewing area.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkJapaneseSerow.jpg
This is the most recent overview, and the last pic for now.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrientalForestOview2.jpg
Hopefully I'll be able to do some more building soon-I'm really missing my game! :blushing:
-
Oh.....my....gosh!!!!
that asian black bear exibit is awesome!
It looks amazing!!! as does the Japanese serow!!!
But I cant stand pizza hut pan pizza after I threw it up in tennesee XP
But it looks great in there :D
-
LadyZ, where did you get the Pizza Hut building and sign? I looked in the downloads and can't locate it. I did a search on it and came up with a zoo download that uses it, but the building itself is not there.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
BTW, love the pics.... you really are the checkerboard path queen......
-
Thanks Seraphii--sorry to hear about the pizza incident! But you are right about it adding just the right color to the decor.
Zoomeister--thank you for your sweet compliments! :blushing: The Pizza Hut pack can be dowloaded from ZooKeepers Lounge website Here. (http://www.lunamanar.com/zklounge/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=bdd425107acd5469b3bf2f13504f8413&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=pizza+hut) The pack includes the sign for it. Hope it will work for you-but watch the .dll file as it may be a combined file for many buildings/objects and you might need to edit your ZT folder to get it work. Just an F.Y.I. : :) :
-
Yes, I see that the .dll files can be conflicting now. Thanks for the tip. I can see how one .dll file that is combined could be an advantage. Trouble is with all the d/loads out there, which .dll files are included in the total combined one? LoL. Just gotta be careful, I guess.
:specool:
-
Most of the combined .dll files here at ZA will have text file in the zip that will detail which downloads it will cover. I'm not sure about the ZKL combined files though-try sending a PM to Jay here and he should be able to answer your question about that.
-
Awesome pics! You have a great talent for themeing things, and I love the observation areas! : :) :
-
I love the new pics! The landscaping and the Asian Black Bear exhibit are an inspiration!!! Keep up the great work!!! I hope you get some more time to build soon!
-
Thank you Seraphii, I'm having fun with it, but I'm starting to run out of decorating ideas for the Oriental theme.

My new map is now up for download--I was able to figure out how to do it--Finally! Anyway, I hope to be building again soon-I'm needing a break from stuff here pretty soon, and my zoo is calling my name... :cookie: LOL
-
Ohh, nice! I just need a tad more inspiration and my inperation merter will have topped off, forcing me to Re-Install ZT1:CC!
-
Love the map, I'll certainly be using it in my zoos soon. Keep up the great work!
-
:surprise: Incredible! You have a great talent for designing zoos!
-
I'm bbbaaaacccccccckkkkkkkk!! :paperbag: I know, it's been too long but sometimes work has to come first (I have no idea why! : :P : ) I have temporarily shelved my medium zoo for now because I wanted to test out my new small map. I do this with every map I make to see what effect it has on guest happiness and zoo ratings. This one is a bit of a challenge for me personally because the entrance is on a corner, something I've never done before successfully. So, here is what I have so far:
The first exhibit was for the Asian Elephants.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkAsianElephants.jpg
Across from them I put in the Green Peafowl.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkPeafowl.jpg
Next to the Asian Elephants are some very peaceful neighbors, the Bongos.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkAsiansBongos.jpg
A view of the Peafowl and the entrance. The gift shop is off to the right, which I forgot to include in these pics.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkEntrncPeafowl.jpg
I put in Lowland Gorillas, but forgot that their gorilla climbing bars weren't researched yet (serves me right for building in a bad mood :pinch: ). They do now have them though.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkGorillas.jpg
When I put in primate or ape exhibits, I always like to have the Primate House next to them.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkGorillasPrimate.jpg
I've tried to build a large island area surrounded by a lagoon (it's still under construction). The first exhibit are for my beloved Bengal Tigers.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkBigCatIsland.jpg
The Hard Rock Cafe was just the perfect size to put in across from the tigers.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkHRCfountain.jpg
And, of course, the last pic is an overview.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkOview1.jpg
-
Wow, very awesome! You are the checkerboard path queen! And the viewing areas are lovely! :woot: Can't wait for more.
-
A challenge? :surprise: I love your veiwing areas, especially the one for the asian elephants!
-
:clapping: Wow, your pictures never fail to impress! Beautiful job!
-
Yays for LadyZ!!! awesoem work!!! the viewing areas look awesome!!! and the exhibits are WOW!!! nice job!
-
Thank you everyone! I'm making this pretty much just a rain forest zoo because I just love the look of all the colors in a rain forest setting. I have done some more building, and I'm hoping to get those pics up later today. Stay Tuned!
-
Wow, you are back! Very natural looking Cookie!
Glad to see all these ZT1 players again!
-
Aawwww :blushing: thank you Speedy! I'm so glad to see some other veteran builders return too, like you and Mo and so many others!!
Back with a few more pics. The guess happiness was way too low for my liking (at 76  ). so I figured I had better get some more exhibits put in while waiting for a specific animal to get finished being researched. In my last posting I realized that I didn't take a pic of the corner right next to the entrance pond. So, here is the Gift Shop and the Animal Adoption Center.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkGiftAdoption.jpg
Someone has PM'd me asking for a close up of a particular area of my paths, near the Gorillas and Peafowl. I had put in one of the ponds from the Zoo Tek pond pack which fit in very nicely to break up all the checkboard!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkPathtoGorillas.jpg
Now for the new stuff....behind my Oriental Themed Restaurant I put in my Forest Carousel. Yes, my signature Ice Cream Stand is right behind it, although I don't think you can see it very well in this pic.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkAsianRestCarousel.jpg
Behind the Carousel is an exhibit for the Javan Rhinos.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkJavanRhinoCarousel.jpg
Across from my rhinos are my all-time favorite primates, the Orangutans!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkOrangutans.jpg
Hey, no sleeping on the job here!! :pinch:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkOrangutNap.jpg
Last building that went in for now is Seraphii's favorite place (NOT)--Pizza Hut! :woot:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkInsectPizzaHut.jpg
Baby Pics!!! First the Bengal babies...
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkBabyBengals.jpg
...and then the Javan Rhino baby, which had to be taken with the foliage turned off because he would Not stand still!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkJavanRhinoBaby.jpg
Enjoy!
-
Fantastic work as always, M'Lady!
And after having dusted off my ZT1 disc myself a couple of weeks ago, I think I'll just put it away again. Can't compete, can't even come close....:worthy:
-
Hey now, don't even say that!!! I can't complete with the likes of Speedy or Mo either--they have mastered water effects and the invisible fence to perfection!! But I learned a long time ago--every builder has their own style and preferences, so no one should be afraid to build and post their pics. So you just keep that disc handy and Start Building there Lady!! :hammer2: Don't make me come there and tie you to your 'puter!! :woot: Hhmmm....better yet, I'll sic RND on ya!!
-
Really love the way you showcased the adoption center. One of my favorite downloads, and really nice the way you set it up.
I don't get over here much - too busy with other stuff. But just had to comment - beautifully done. Please keep up the good work. I may not comment all the time, but I do check them out. I am in awe.
-
Yummy Pizza Hut  XD
Nice wrok! Yay LadyZ =3 you have the whole checkerboard thing down to a D =D
nice job! the exhibits look awesome as does the rest of the zoo!
-
Cookie, how can you say you can't even compete with me? Your zoobuilding skills are fantastic! :woot:
And the zoo is looking aweosme so far. It's so bright, and green, I love it! : :) :
-
Wonderful pics!!! I love all of the scenery and the layout is perfect! It makes me want to go build! Keep up the great work!!!
-
Good to see the Queen is back and building beautifully although I noticed nothing recent. What I'm really happy to read is that you're mapbuilding again. Must keep up the variety to avoid the stagnance I reached. I'll be seeing you around I'm sure.
-
I think I'm seeing things.....no it can't be.....well maybe he dusted off his puter to pay us a visit.
Hey spidey glad you peeled you way through the webs surrounding that system. Lady Z is without net at the moment at home. She'll be so glad to see you have stopped in.
-
Yes, Spidey---oh my I'm so sorry I missed you, but so delighted to see you come over and pay us a visit. I've been offline since October 9th at home, and also without my beloved ZT 1 until recently. I'm hoping to be back to building again very soon, once I get all of my downloads reinstalled on my new computer. Thanks to everyone for their patience and very kind compliments!!

Sorry to hear of your technical problems and been there done that. As a matter of fact I'm continuing to have the problem where ZA says my ISP or whatever that thing is has been banned. (You might remember I'm almost a complete computer moron. With hard work and determination I can be a complete moron. The gap is closing)
Anyways, glad your back and you can count on me to check to see what my fellow checkerboard pal is doing. Some day these kiddiez will catch on to the checkerboard path ................ someday.
I look forward to seeing what your upcoming projects will be. Just glad your back home.
-
Update: I'm in the process of getting all of my beloved user downloads installed on my new computer in my new home. I'll be starting a new zoo soon, with a holiday theme since it's getting so close to that time of year again. I'll be including some of the nice holiday user made packs and items that we have here at ZA. I appreciate your patience, and will get some new pics up very soon!!
-
LadyZ! It's been a while!
The viewing areas are very nicely done. And you always hold true to the checkerboard path ;D I particularly enjoyed the elephant viewing area with the golden statues. In fact I got a little inspiration for some more statues! ^_^

Hey Buddy!!! LTNS!! Thank you so much for your kind words...and if statues are in your future, may I suggest Bongos, Okapi or maybe a tapir?
Funny Story: I was getting my downloads put back in and was testing them when my grandson came over and sat in my lap. He became enthralled with it all. I decided to just throw a few things in for him, like some of the dino stuff, and a lion exhibit. I added the ostrichs because he was just fixated on the birds flying around in the sky. I forgot to put the game on pause, and before I knew it I had guests going everywhere! LittleC was loving it all...looks like Grandma LadyZ has a new ZT player on the horizon!

Now I guess I'll have to make him a holiday zoo for his birthday on December 10th. :party5:
-
Wow LadyZ, that's awesome! How old is he?
-
Wow! those look really good! =D
I like the lions exhibit! it looks better than my lions! nice work minion...err...grandson of ladyz
-
My grandson will be 2 yrs old on December 10th. He didn't actually place anything in the zoo, but he sure loved watching the birds, lions and people walking around. He was especially loving the bouncy rides, swings, and slide-things he can already identify with from his many trips to the park with his Mommy! Thanks everyone! :blushing:
-
Okay, I'm kinda breaking a little rule here (Administrators perogitive :whistling ), but there is a very special message I have to make, and this is the only place I can think of to post it. Here it is:
To My Very Special ZA/ZT Secret Friend:
I don't know who you are, and I can only guess where you are. I wanted to let you know that your very special gift for me arrived Yesterday!! What a joy it was to come home from work and see it sitting in my mail box!! Thank You, THANK YOU ever so much from the bottom of my heart-your kindness and generousity will always be appreciated and remembered every time I play...
:flipper: MM2!!! :turtle1:
Whoever you are, Many Thanks!
-
Ooh, LadyZ, how totally lovely of someone to do that!!!
Does this mean you might be posting MM2 pics for us to see? Or will you stay a ZT1 devotee?
Either way, enjoy!!:bounce:
-
I needed some stress relief recently, so I decided to make a Holiday map for my grandson Little C so I can build him a Christmas zoo. Here are a few pics of the map entrance so far. Hope you like! :tree2:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LittleCSmHolidayMapOverEnt.jpg

-
LadyZ, that entrance is just too adorable .
-
Wow, LadyZ, Little C will love this!! Fantastic entrance!: :) :
-
Wow I love the entrance LadyZ  its sooo pretty!
-
Aw, how sweet of you! (No pun intended? : :P : ) Your grandson will love it!
-
How adorable! The christmasness is everywhere =D
Beautiful work M'Lady =D
-
Those pics are so cute! I know that Little C will enjoy this zoo!!! Keep up the great work!
-
Well it's good news/bad news time: The Bad News is that the Christmas Zoo I wanted to build just didn't work out, primarily because I wasn't physically able to sit for long periods of time at my computer during the holidays because of a back problem. The Good News: I am partially recovered and recently edited a map that is a particular favorite of one of my co-workers.
I have edited the Small City Zoo map--I've taken out a lot of the front parking lot, and extended the corners of the zoo to allow more building room. As always, when I make a new map I always test it in my game to be sure it works. Here are some practice pics I took for my friend:
The Entrance and the first exhibit, which I made for my Zebras.
-
On the other side of the entrance I put in some Gazelles.
-
The new neighbors for my Zebras are African Elephants, and a restaurant was put in across from their exhibit.
-
The Aviary became available and was just the right fit to go between the Gift Shop and the Restaurant.
-
On the other side of the Gazelles I built a nice home for my gentle giants, the Giraffes.
-
This is a close up view of the entrance with the Gift Shop, where I placed a moat around it. This pic has the foliage turned on...
-
...and the same area with no foliage showing.
-
The Living Desert Terrarium was the perfect fit to go across from the Giraffes, and I added a small desert-like exhibit next to it. The Camels were the perfect animal to be placed across from the Terrarium entrance.
-
The last pic is, of course, the overview of the zoo. This map will be made available for download if anyone would be interested in it....after I copy it on to a CD and give it to my friend first.
-
Very nice pics as always, LZKNY! I like the water feature around the Gift Shop!
-
I love everything! The layout is wonderful, the colors are great, and the design is an inspiration!!! And, I like how you edited the map! Thanks for sharing this with us!!! Hope your back gets to feeling better!
-
Lady Z - this is beautiful! I agree with Ronsina the water feature looks amazing!! Thanks for the inspiration!
-
LadyZ, those look really cool! I like the Living Terarium, that's a cool addition. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Hey where's the pics....:hammer2: :rofl2: ....it's been almost a whole month and I'm suffering withdrawls for ideas. Get building there Lady so I can have some fresh ideas for my new zoo.:sofa:
-
Thanks everyone for your kind compliments! I have finished the zoo and taken the pics, but they still need editing before I post them.
Watch it there YR!! : :P : You're cruisin' lady...:woot: (ya knows I luvs ya!)
-
Ooh, new pics from M'Lady soon!! : :) : Looking forward to your new stuff, as always!
-
Here ya go everyone (Rosina'sCat and YR especially  ), the final pics of the Small City Zoo Map that I made earlier this month. The next exhibit I put in was for my moosie...but because the exhibit was rather small, I couldn't get a mate for him! : :( : I built it around the Baskin Robbins Restaurant that was built just across from the Insect House.
-
A new home for some American Bison was the next exhibit, across from Moosie and next to the Insect House. There was some creative foliage used as a filler for the awkard empty space.
-
To keep for the forest theme going, I used the very back corner to put in some gorgeous Unicorns! I forgot just how big they like their exhibits to be! :whistling
-
In the other rear corner I placed my Asian Elephant exhibit next to the Nocturnal House. I forgot to get a pic of the elephants...but not the house! Okay, my bad, but I was tired.. The Indian Peafowl are on the other side of the Nocturnal House.
-
Across from the Nocturnal House seemed like a good place for my Siberian Tiger exhibit. I also put in another attraction-the Dino Cinema.
-
I started having some issues with the awkward spaces being left, so I did some creative decorating with fountains, flowers, the Dino Arcade and the Petting Zoo. I also put in a small play area for the kiddies.
-
The last pic for this zoo is the Final Overview, looking over the left rear corner (the Unicorn exhibit). The final stats for the zoo:
Zoo is in May Yr 2
ZR = 90, with 28 benefactors
GH = 94, 664 guests, 17 attractions
AH = 98, 37 animals in 12 exhibits
Not too bad I guess for a small zoo... :original:
-
LadyZ, it's lovely. The layout is great and everything is so colorful.
-
Not bad?! LadyZ, its beautiful!! I love it! I'm going to have to have a look round the zt1 downloads area - and do some building!
-
LadyZ! You are backkk =D *well DUH*
Yeah, anyways! I must say, this zoo is AWESOME
I love that tiger exhibit! and the landscaping... it is AMAZING!
-
You know, you really should change you banner LadyZ - you are so much more than just the Queen of the Checkerboard Path! Your zoo is fabulous! If I had ever been that good at designing zoos I may not have started playing ZT2! lol...
-
These pics are fabulous. I would play ZT1 again if i only coulg find my disc.
-
Wow Lady Z, still haven't lost your touch after all this time... I really missed seeing your inspirational zoos around...and, well here they are! I just started playing ZT1 again myself. Well, anyway, awesome, as usual!!!!!!!!
-
Dear Lady Z,
I am new to playing ZTCC, and I must say that your zoos are an inspiration to me. I truly love everything that you have done with your different zoos. Keep up the remarkable and fantastic job that you have been doing. I truly appreciate your posting the pics of your zoos. I hope that you don't mind if I use some of your ideas for my zoos, though mine could never compare to the amazing job that you have done.
-
Thank you very much one and all for your kind compliments and encouragement. bcassidy, yuo may use whatever you find useful to you, as can anyone else. That's why I post them, and look at other zoo builders too-it's the best way to learn new things from each other. It's another reason why we call ourselves a "Zoo Community"! :grouphug:
I've just finish a new small map at the request of Yellowrose. I'm not sure when she's going to be putting it up for download because of all the work going on right now getting the d/ls' moved over from the old site. I'm also working on a new medium map too. I'll let you know if they work well once I've tested them. Until then... :construct: Keep Building! :queen:
-
Haha, bcassidy, I must admit I have been known to draw inspiration from LZKNY, especially in the area of checkerboard paths.... :whistling:
And if you want an inspiration, who better? :worthy: :queen:
-
I too have taken a lot of LadyZ's ideas and used them in my zoos over the years.....now if we could just get that web crawler Spiderghost back here again we could really have one heck of a Show and Tell.

Just to name a few of the most excellent zoo builders Zoo Admin is fortunate enough to have as members.
-
Wow :yr1:, that's a great compliment--you've included me in a list of people whom I've always considered to be Master Zoo Builders! Thank you so very much :worthy: However, that list isn't complete without Zoohio, Firehawke, and yourself.
As previously promised, here are some pics of the new small map I made and the test zoo on it. I'm trying to build it with animals that I know my grandson Little C likes, so this is for him. I have always loved the rain forest theme and colors that the game came with, so with that in mind....
Welcome to the Little Rain Forest Falls Zoo. The first 2 pics are of the entrance...

The first exhibit was for the Asian Elephants.

The Zoo Admin Bookstore and Rain Forest Restaurant were placed at the corner and across from the elephants.

Next to the Peafowl I put in an exhibit for the Clouded Leopards. He just loves cats! :cat2:

On the other side of the entrance more big cats were put in. These are the Bengal Tigers, who have just had babies.

The Rain Forest Cafe and the Rain Forest house are the additions across from the Bengal Tiger exhibit. Around the corner are one of my favorite animals, the Bongos.

The last 2 pics are, of course, the overviews of the zoo so far. It's only been open for 4 game months, and already the guest happiness is up to 86--and there is still a lot more building to be done! :construct:

Hope you like!
-
:surprise: :woot:This is extremely cool!I love that awesome asian elephant exibit!Great job!
-
Awesome zoo LadyZ! It all fits together so perfectly! And I love your choice of paths, it all looks very nice!
-
Thanks Mo...the paths are test items that I'm using for the creator so they can be uploaded later.
-
Well, my little rain forest zoo for my grandson is complete. I'm gonna be really lazy tonight and not post individual links to each pic. Instead, this link is to my ZooPics07 album on Photobucket. You will need to start with page 2 first, though, because Photobucket always put them up in reverse order... I hope you will enjoy Little C's Rain Forest Zoo.
http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics07/?start=20
:construct:
-
The pics look great! I bet your grandson is going to love it! There are so many fun things and the landscaping is wonderful! What were your final stats???
Keep up the great work!
-
Thank you so much FH for your kind words...and for reminding me that I hadn't posted my numbers for this zoo like I usually do. Okay, here goes...
Zoo is in Dec Yr 3
ZR = 94, 16 attractions, 100 benefactors
GH = 92, 989 guests, $30 admission fee
AH = 98, 17 exhibits, 64 animals
The GH became an issue with hungry/thirsty guests, probably because I made the food court with the carousel too close to the entrance. I'm going to try to duplicate that again, only this time I'm going to make it more towards the rear of the zoo, to see if that helps to keep the GH higher. That food court surrounding the Carousel is the best one I've ever made, and for those of you who have known me for a while, know that I  food courts! :neneh
-
Oh wow, M'Lady!! These pics are so pretty!! This is a lovely zoo! I'm sure little C will think so, too!!
-
Like fine wine LadyZ, like fine wine!
-
This is the first chance I've had to look at this one and once again - Wow! You make such beautiful zoos - true artistry!
-
Wow. I am impressed! :woot: :goodjob: I'm totally inspired to play ZT1 again.
-
-
I've taken a break from some of my Admin stuff and my website stuff to finish up a new medium map tonight. Let me see if I can get the pics up here...
-
Now that's what I call making an entrance! Very nice LadyZ!
-
 Aaawwww, thank you Zookreeper, but it's not really one of my best efforts. I'm still going to work on it a bit.
I have also been working on a 2nd zoo using my new small Twin Falls Rainforest Zoo Map. The guest happiness with the first zoo was not up to my expectations so I'm testing it again. First up, I put an exhibit for my beloved Giraffes, then Little C's lions. At the corner of the exhibits I built the Bush Tuck restaurant with a complete walk-around patio.
-
The Lions new neighbors were Little C's Elephants and their toys. Across from them are 2 of my favorite grazing animals, the Zebras and Gazelles. They are in seperate exhibits, with a full sized walk through viewing area that takes them from the center of the zoo to the Elephant Exhibit.
-
Wow...once you play ZT2 for a while, ZT1 seems so primitive
-
-
-
As always, I love the new pics! :woot: The landscaping is wonderful!!! I always get so inspired by your pics! I can't wait to see more! Am I correct in thinking that these will be all land dwelling animal exhibit???
-
Hang on a sec, I'm taking notes. Er, um Doing reasearch, Yeah that's it, I'm doing Reasearch!!! :whistling: Very nice. The paths are like carpets, That's new. Raised buildings, (scribles) very good. OK I'm done. I like it LadyZ! You have Artistry in your soul.
-
Thank you so much FH and ZK...
FH-I haven't decided yet on whether I'm going to put in a marine exhibit or not. If I do it will probably be :dolphin as they are my absolute favorite.
ZK-You are way too kind...artistry in my soul-WOW, that's a supreme compliment! Thank you so very much! Ya know, you can always copy/paste these pics to your computer instead of taking notes...
-
I feel the call of ZT1 a lot lately (might have something to do with all those ZT1 downloads I've been working with) but I just don't have time. So it's so fun to come in here and see what you're doing, because your pics are awesome and give me somewhat of a ZT1 fix! These last few pics you posted are sooo pretty!
-
I've been feeling ZT1's call ALOT latley too... Ohhh....
You, LadyZ, are an inspiration.
-
Peacenote & Panda King, you are both very kind with your compliments... :eggblush thank you very much!
I did a bit more building recently, so I though I'd get these posted before I start my last big area for this zoo.
My Bengal Tigers now have new neighbors--their cousins the White Bengal Tigers. At the corner is the newly constructed Rain Forest Restaurant, complete with moat and gardens.
-
This is a better pic of the RF Restaurant and the Reptile House just next to my white tigers.
-
The empty space next to the Rain Forest Restaurant was just the right size to put in the Petting Zoo. I'm not at all sure I like the colors I chose for it... :eggcrazy I had to take this pic without the foliage, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to see it! Can we says ooppssiiee?! :eggwhistle
-
In the back corner I shifted gears a bit and put in an exhibit for the Black Bears. The first pic has the foliage turned off so you can see the viewing area.
-
Here is the pic with the foliage turned on.
-
On the other side of the zoo, in the rear corner, I decide to do a couple more marine exhibits. Since I have never done an exhibit for the Manatees in recent memory, I placed them next to my African Elephants. Next to the Manatees I put in the Boat Shack attraction, and WOW, did guests start flocking to that! :surprise:
-
Across the path from the Boat Shack an exhibit for the Manta Rays was built. Lobby's Marine Restaurant has also been a big favorite of my guests. Statues of Poseidon and double wide Marine arches makes a nice gateway for the marine section of my zoo.
-
-
And, as always, the final 2 pics are the most recent overviews. Hope you like! :eggwub
-
Very nice indeed LadyZ!! I feel moved to get back to my zoo and get busy.
-
-
This latest zoo is very well planned and creative! I was never this talented when I played ZT1. :egggrin :goodjob:
-
Oh, you were too Animalover44, you just didn't think you were! :slol: ( :offtopic: here: congrats on your MOM Animalover!). Hey, I'm allowed-it's my thread :neneh
Well, I am finished with this zoo. Tonight I completed that empty spot in the back area by building an elevated Food Court with the Carousel in the middle of it. However, before those pics are presented, there was some other space to be filled first. I decided to put in one more marine exhibit with another new creature for me-the Atlantic Swordfish.
-
The final landscaping has been completed behind the Shark Tunnel, so now my guests have a lot of pretty things to look at besides the Atlantic Swordfish! :eggroll
-
I decided another attraction should go in as a lead in to both the Marine area and the Food Court. Here is the Tropical Aquarium with all its decor.
-
Now for the Food Court...it took me nearly an hour to get it mapped out and I still don't think it's big enough :eggno The food stands that were initially put in were Fancy Pizza Stand, Fancy Drink Stand, Coffee Stand, Chicken Stand, Fancy Restroom; on the other side of the Carousel is an Ice Cream Stand, Soft Drink Stand, Hamburger Stand and the Sno Cone Stand.
-
At the time the Food Court was under construction, the GH was an acceptable 94. However, when I finished building and started up the game, it dropped down to 91 :faint I was very disappointed. I watched it for a bit, then decided to make some changes. I took out the coffee stand, and added the Icee Stand and the Drink Stand. I also replaced the Sno Cone stand with a Cotton Candy Stand. Here is how it looks now.
-
The final attraction added was the Ring Toss behind the Drop Zone Ride. This pic is looking over the top of the Food Court.
-
The final overview for this edition. I think I'll just stick to restaurants and a scattered stand or two from now on. Food Courts just don't agree with me :eggcry
Final Stats:
Zoo is in June Yr 3
ZR = 93, 15 attractions, 79 benefactors
GH = 93 (finally!), 900 guests, $30 admission
AH = 98, 49 animals in 15 exhibits
I also think that because the interior entrance of this map is so large that it affects the number of benefactors-guests like to see animals as soon as they walk in or leave your zoo.
-
Wow, LadyZ! Your zoo is a complete inspiration to me! Can't wait to see more, but in the meantime...*rushes off to build*
-
Wow! Your zoos are so intricate, LadyZ. And I love your use of decorative foliage. If only the guests would appreciate trees quite as much as real people do.
-
-
Oh LadyZ! You make me want to play Zt1 even more!!
*I forgot my disc at my grandmas! ;_;* This zoo is FANTASTIC!!!
I love the exhibits you have designed! they are superb! and your landscaping abilities FAR surpass mine ^_^
I have to say, you are VERY inspiring!
-
Wow!! :surprise: So many nice compliments...thank you all very much!
Bengal Tiger, Seraphii, and ZK--you guys are all just so sweet! Seraphii, get that disc back from your grandma's house and start building, buddy! Bengal Tiger and ZK, I'll be watching to see new pics from you guys, so get crackin! :construct: Oxpecker, thank you for stopping by! I'm so excited to have a new member visit. I'll be stopping by your "place" soon to take a peek at your work, which I am sure is really fantastic. Thank you for your gracious words-they are what keep me going and strive to be a better zoo builder.
Okay everyone...Keep Building! :eggblush
-
LadyZ, how did you know? I'm working on an S&T topic as we speak! Well, not as we speak but you know what I mean! :slol:
-
Super zoo as usual! :dancer: I love how your zoos always fit together so nicely! Don't worry 'bout those guests, they tend to be oblivious to hard work. ;) :P
