First exhibit, Dromedary Camel:

Back across another bridge, are the Orangutan. They love their island refuge:

I am using many downloads, so if there is something you like and you are not sure where to find it or the name, please ask. I will do my best to remember.

Those pics are wonderful...I have always admired your ability to use the water and the bridges with such perfection so as to make them look so real! Someday you're gonna have to make a 3 hr drive and actually SHOW me how to do it! It's really great to see you building again, and I must say your Orangutan Island is simply perfect! :hifive:
Keep Building Buddy!
-
ooh Yaay! So lovely it almost makes me wish I owned ZT1! But I could never do as well as you, zoohio! :hifive: :clapping:
-
Beautiful :woot:, you call that dusting off? I love the bridges, and the exhibits are great  . Now if you'll excuse me *runs over to download any bridges she can get her hands on*

Earl, those pics are fab!! : :) :
I am using many downloads, so if there is something you like and you are not sure where to find it or the name, please ask. I will do my best to remember.
OK, what about the bright green 'fan' style plants, (one near the shelter)?
-
Wow those are AMAZING!!!!!! I never saw your first ZT1 zoos but these are good! I just found my Zt1collection but if I tried even with all these awesome dl's they wouldn't be as good as yours! Awesome work!!! :clapping:
-
Great work there Zoohio :yesmaster I will have to go and try to build again too.......
So much to do and so little time :hmmm: Have to find a way to fit everything in
-
Beautiful  Creative how you contained animals using something other than fences
-
Forgotten how to play? Now there's modesty and there's plain lying...: :P :
I love the zoos--continue, and I shall have to copy--I mean learn--from them. :original:
-
Thanks everyone!
Rebecca, the plant you are referring to is the Traveler's Palm. It is part of the Habitat Foliage Pack by Loewenfrau found http://zoo.ogresnet.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1131 (http://zoo.ogresnet.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1131)
ChubbyPanda, I have used the Invisible Fence.
-
for the orangs did you use just water or invisable fencies
-
Oh joy! Zoohio's back in action! :woot: Sooner or sooner I'm gonna be inspired to work on ZT1! I can't wait for more pics! They'll be great! :woot: :woot:
-
Thanks Earl. Now I've blown the dust off my zt1 disc, I'm going to be downloading like a crazy person over the next couple of days!!
:IloveZA:
-
for the orangs did you use just water or invisable fencies
I used the invisible fence!
-
Next we have the elusive Jaguar! They like it quiet, so I put them in the corner, yet they can view the tasty looking Orangutan.
And one of my favorite downloads, the Adoption Center:
(http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4796/zoo001yf5.th.jpg) (http://(http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4796/zoo001yf5.th.jpg) (http://img155.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo001yf5.jpg)
Another creature that is timid and quiet, the beautiful Okapi:
(http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4240/zoo003zw6.th.jpg) (http://(http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/4240/zoo003zw6.th.jpg) (http://img155.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo003zw6.jpg)
-
i like the exibites (especialy the jag next to the orangs) but the bathroom there dosnt seem to fiit the enviorment
also (though it's no where as good as yours) would you mind checking mine out (it's Card'z Zoo) i could use a few pointers
now i see why they call you the master
good work
-
Wow  . What are you using for (what I'm guessing is) the decorative fencing along the stairs in the path?
-
It's great to see you building with ZT1 again Zoohio! I love all your detail..and well..everything! As always! Waiting for more! :original:
-
Thanks!
I think you are talking about the Rainforest Fence which comes with the Complete Collection.
Next to the Okapi are the Bongo:
(http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/2447/zoo001ub3.th.jpg) (http://(http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/2447/zoo001ub3.th.jpg) (http://img154.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo001ub3.jpg)
And the Komodo Dragon exhibit is across from the Bongo:
(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/7207/zoo002wd2.th.jpg) (http://(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/7207/zoo002wd2.th.jpg) (http://img213.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo002wd2.jpg)
-
This took most of my evening as I was trying to figure out exactly how to make a Temple-looking structure. Here are the Asian Elephants and their shrine:
(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3691/zoo003rn5.th.jpg) (http://(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3691/zoo003rn5.th.jpg) (http://img213.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo003rn5.jpg)
Without foliage:
(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4845/zoo004bj2.th.jpg) (http://(http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4845/zoo004bj2.th.jpg) (http://img213.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo004bj2.jpg)
-
wow i love the temple, you should get the fountans on the water hack so that you dont have the blending on the top next to the fountans
-
Awesome as always Zoohio
-
I leave for a few days and get to come back to this! The shots are looking awesome, that "elephant temple" is really cool! :woot:
-
It will be cool if people could go to the temple to view the elephants  But your zoo is a beaut, Jaw dropping :surprise: I wish I can design like you.
-
Whoa! That looks really sweet! :woot: And just a question, what user-made animals do you have? If you have any. :whistling
-
:surprise: All I can say is... I love it  , more
-
He's BAA-AACK! YAY!
I must say, that's very nice work...
reminds me of when i used to play zt1...
Uh-oh.. I've got the urge to do so again...
I feel... INSPIRED!
-
Shame on you Zoohio...For getting people inspired. I thought we'd agreed you wouldn't do that anymore....:happyroll
Now all kidding aside, you have outdone yourself, all I can say is: :respect: and :worthy:
-
Thanks everyone!
Here is the Tapir/Javan Rhino exhibit:
(http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/1771/zoo005jr5.th.jpg) (http://(http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/1771/zoo005jr5.th.jpg) (http://img95.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo005jr5.jpg)
And the same exhibit from the other side, showing the Rainforest Restaurant and viewing area:
(http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/650/zoo006cf1.th.jpg) (http://(http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/650/zoo006cf1.th.jpg) (http://img209.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo006cf1.jpg)

Amazing as always Zoohio:specool:! Makes me want to pay ZT1 again.
-
Awesome. Your zoos are absolutely positively Awesome.
-
WoW!that zoo is awesome! The elephant temple is just...so...Cool!!Oh,and on that last pic, infront of the gift shop, you see a tree,is that a download or is it already in the game?
-
I'm going to have to copy every single thing I see Great job! The temple is :surprise: and I love the oranguatng/jaguar exhibits!
-
It doesn't matter what you do, my friend, your zoos always amaze and educate me! I will never get tired of seeing your zoos. Now, I'm going to "suppose" here that the Elephant Temple and the Asian Elephants are actually seperated by the Invisible Fence? Otherwise wouldn't you have unhappy animals complaining about statues, pathways and arches in their exhibts?
This zoo is definately one to keep my eye on...I know you're on vacation, but Please try to post some more pics...your work is so much appreciated by all of us ZT 1 veterans!!! :yesmaster
Keep Building!
-
It's zoos like yours that made me go out and buy ZT1 again - after a year or more of playing ZT2... (daughter had damaged the first disk) LOL
The exhibit is amazing but it's your artist's eye that truly amazes! :surprise:
-
Thanks everyone!
World, that tree is original.
LadyZ, yes, I am using the invisible fence. Once of the best downloads out there.
Off to build some more
-
Ok,thanks,I couldnt tell:blushing: Anyways great zoo!
-
Amazing zoos. They are so jaw dropping!:surprise:
Keep up the good work Zoohio.
-
Thanks Kingkong10!
After searching through some of the downloads, I found a new decorative fence, (I forgot who the designer was already), and I decided to redo the Temple a bit:
(http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4469/zoo001hz7.th.jpg) (http://(http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4469/zoo001hz7.th.jpg) (http://img152.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo001hz7.jpg)

This next section took a very long time to design.
Here we have the African Elephant, African Buffalo and Wildebeast. Since the Wildebeast instinctively migrate, I create a bridge of land for them to cross the water. With the new Underwater Passage, this looks like a real bridge.
Also added the Tower Cafe for guests to view the Savannah area while dining:
(http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4755/zoo002hi4.th.jpg) (http://(http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4755/zoo002hi4.th.jpg) (http://img246.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo002hi4.jpg)
Below the Savannah Ridge, you have the Hippo Exhibit:
(http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1269/zoo003qp3.th.jpg) (http://(http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1269/zoo003qp3.th.jpg) (http://img152.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo003qp3.jpg)
-
Sharing the same river, and to the right of the Hippo are the Greater Flamingo:
(http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3073/zoo005we3.th.jpg) (http://(http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3073/zoo005we3.th.jpg) (http://img292.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo005we3.jpg)
I removed some foliage from the river area to show the bridge a little more; and another one in the lower, middle of the pic:
(http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5098/zoo006pb7.th.jpg) (http://(http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5098/zoo006pb7.th.jpg) (http://img246.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo006pb7.jpg)
-
An overview of the last few exhibits:
(http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/20/zoo007la0.th.jpg) (http://(http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/20/zoo007la0.th.jpg) (http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo007la0.jpg)

Wow, great design skills, I love that savannah area! It's very realistic! :sign_wow:

THis zoo just gets better and better!!:woot:
-
Agreed! The decoration and detail is fabulous!
-
After searching through some of the downloads, I found a new decorative fence, (I forgot who the designer was already), and I decided to redo the Temple a bit:
Okay Buddy, enlighten me please....did you find that d/l here at ZA, and if so, what's the name of it? Me Wants Please!!!
As for the rest of your pics :surprise: :worthy: :winner_fi
-
LadyZ, they are called Decorative Wall Pack (I think) and the creator is ChristiJaberJaws. I found the download at the ZA Database or you can go: http://zooadmin.org/forum/index.php?topic=1818.0 (http://zooadmin.org/forum/index.php?topic=1818.0)
-
Upon viewing your zoo I had several reactions at once, and instead of writing them all out I'm going to express them in smilie form: :surprise:  :woot: :happytear  it's... so... cool. You've inspired me yet again. Also, for the record, how many bridges are you using? I can barely even get one to look nice, lol :P .

Your postings make me want to dust off my game again. thanks for posting.
Jeff

Your zoos are so cool! *Gos and dusts of Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection*
Time to play!:original:
-
How did you get the land in the middle of the tank? I tried but it never works.
-
Man! That's awesome! I never realized the wonders of user-made stuff for ZT1! I'm definitely gonna download some now! :woot: Great stuff as always zoohio!
-
How did you get the land in the middle of the tank? I tried but it never works.
There is a pinned topic in the ZT1 show and tell call Island Tutorial!
-
LadyZ, they are called Decorative Wall Pack (I think) and the creator is ChristiJaberJaws. I found the download at the ZA Database or you can go: http://zooadmin.org/forum/index.php?topic=1818.0 (http://zooadmin.org/forum/index.php?topic=1818.0)
I tried using the link, but it came back with "The file could not be found". I've looked all through our downloads here too--is it under another name possibly? Oh, and the newest pics are fantastic too! How does it feel to be in inspiration for so many of us?! Great Job Buddy!! :specool:
-
Stunning work as usual! I love that little island in the croc tank.
-
Your postings make me want to dust off my game again. thanks for posting.
Jeff
Well I did!! And I am really enjoying playing the Original again! Beautiful pics as usual, Speedy!
-
Well, add my name to the list of people inspired to install CC again (cept in my case it's just regular ZT ;_;). Love the croc tank and the area surrounding it.
-
Thanks all and glad some are digging out the game that started it all! It does have its merits and takes less time to load too!
LadyZ, I tried the link again and it is working. They are call Decorative Wall Pack. I think the Database was down yesterday. Or just try http://www.zooadmin.org and search for it that way.
-
Next we have the Artic Wolf exhibit:
(http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/548/zoo001gs1.th.jpg) (http://(http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/548/zoo001gs1.th.jpg) (http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo001gs1.jpg)
And the Reindeer on loan from Santa:

-
Cool  , love the decorations. How do you keep your animals from getting unhappy about hills and moats in their habitats?
-
Some are unhappy without the hills!
The moats never bother the swimming animals, they love them! In fact, they are an extension to their exhibits.
-
:bounce: Love that penguin and polar bear exhibit - the guest area surrounding them is great!
(You must have a huge amount of patience with the terrain editor! )
That island in the croc tank looks really good - I never even thought of trying that before!
(Just out of curiosity is it possible to make that island part of the exhibit? Or to join a showtank that way?)
Now where are those ZT1 discs...: :) :
-
yes, you can make the island part of the exhibit!

Back to the Reindeer side, I have continued the path with a collection of remaining buildings:

and from another angle, we continue with more buildings, the Carousel and a beautiful Greenhouse filled with amazing plants from all over the World:

And nestled between the Polar Bear and an amazing collection of Topiary Animals, we have the playful Ibex:

Ok, I'll bite on this one, where is the download for the greenhouse? LoL
:loony: :joe:
Awesome zoo's by the way, I love the way you make your buildings and exhibits flow from one to another.
Never mind, I found it. It's the Amazon House in the downloads section here. Thanks for letting me know it was here though.
I have a request if I might be so bold to ask.... could you put the completed zoo's online with a listing of downloads? I'd like to study how you create such fabulous exhibits. My flair for decoration isn't as advanced, I tend to think in one dimension (flat).
-
Thanks...
I could do that. I will have to go through and figure out all the downloads! I use so many and some are super old, but I will do my best!

Now off to China, but first for some transition between the sections, we have the Black Leopard:
(http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8711/zoo001db1.th.jpg) (http://(http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/8711/zoo001db1.th.jpg) (http://img247.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zoo001db1.jpg)
then off to the Orient. The Asian Black Bear:

And the Giant Panda:

Then a relaxing stroll through the Gardens, visit some Giant Fruit Bats at the bat house, stop for some Shaved Ice, and then to Animatronic House. I love the stepping stone path:

Very Incredible!!! Your trip to the Orient is absolutely beautiful-it has a very peaceful and tranquil feeling to it. Of course you can never go wrong with having Pandas in your zoo
Keep Building!
-
Nice topiary  , mine always end up looking akward for some reason  ?
LOVE the overview  . About that raised land thing though, I ment like lions or other animals who usually hate having it in their habitats, unless yours don't for some reason? Keep up the zoo building : :) : .
-
Great job!!! I'm so glad to see that you are back to building!!! What map are you using??? I can't wait until I can go off and do some building of my own! Keep up the great work master zoo builder!!!

BEAUTIFUL viewing areas and Exhibits! Yay!
-
Amazing zoo!:surprise: I can't wait for more.
-
Beautiful  Creative how you contained animals using something other than fences
umm if u dont have ur exibit fully fenced guests will run so he has probably got a invisable fence somewhere in there
btw i havent read the whole thread yet so im probably just repeating wat some1 else said so if i am then its because i havent read the thread yet

@ Tiger Zookeeper:
Not exactly. I have successfully kept many animals in exhibits with a cliff for one side, only three of the four sides were fencing. I have also kept a pair of Florida Panthers in an exhibit with no fences, just with cliffs. And no, I have no "Easy animal" downloads.

Oops! Sorry everyone (especially Tiger Zookeeper), I thought that this was in the Zoo Tycoon 2 thread. My fault, I am truly sorry.
-
Yes, I used the invisible fence on this map! Sorry to say that this map and all my ZT2 work is gone, some Worm got into my PC. All is better, but I had to rid my PC of files, photos, and other things that had gotten infected.
-
