Well, here the last section. I probably spent about 15 - 20 hours on it ( I lost count). I was able to more than double my starting cash, despite putting in 60+ exhibits. The last picture is Asian elephants and javan rhinos. :wtg

Cool! Like your T-rex exhibit - it looks like a few of the guests are trying to pat them on the nose!

Oooooo... I am so jealous. :lol

I love the architecture, especially the common use of elevation etc.

I am going to be starting a new shortly. I am going attempt to create a map of my own (the first I have ever tried this) for this zoo, so it might take a little bit before I start.

I have decided the layout will include sections for savannah, rainforest, artic/highland, conferrious/decidious, marine and dino's. The maps going to rather large, and each area will sectioned off in a way that the guests will only have one way in and out of the above 6 listed sections.

Unlike my last zoo, I am going to have plenty of cash to start, so the exhibits and layout will be a lot more elaborate. :wtg

Well, I was able to create a map. I adjusted the large grass map, change the entrance point, decorated a little but got impatient and wanted to build. I started what I am going to call my one way in and one way out zoo. I cut a path straight thru to the rear of the zoo and sub-divided the map into 6 sections, mostly based on terrain. I am building the rainforest section first, and as you will be able to see there is only one way into ans out of this section. Pictured below is the entrance and Asian elephants.

Each section's entrance will have a themed arch. Shown below are Tapir's and Bongo's:

The screenshot below shows an overview of what I completed so far. As you can see, I like to change elevation a lot. The next pics will show an even more dramatic elevation change.

After going up on the cliff with the tigers, I decided to go down in a pit with the primates. Here's the staircase leading to the primate pit.

I have finished off my rainforest section by completing what I call the primate pit. Here's is an overview of the area, which includes 3 exhibits, the primate building and the rainforest cafe.

Two of my exhibits are on elevated walkway above the chimps - those two exhibits are gorillas and orangatans.

Since the rainforest section is completed, the picture below is an overview of the area. The next section I'll be working on will be the
decidous/coniferous section, and just like this one there will only one entrance/exit to the entire section.

Unfortunetly this zoo crashed and burned :crying  and I can't get it to work properly. I probably did something incorrectly with Zoo mapping, sice it was my first at it. But I will start again using the same concept, and post pics as I do it.  :wtg  :heaster1

Sorry to hear it crashed out :(  Love the work you do with elevation, it's not an easy task!  The great thing about the use of elevation, at least in my experience, is that the guests seem to get a happiness bonus out of it. :wtg
