sorry to hear about your zoo nj  :crying . I too have tried my hand at the mapmaking business, but I haven't build yet on the zoo I made (too busy  :crazy ). But one word of advise: get rid of the MapEditor as soon as you finished your zoo. Park it somewhere else on your PC. Maybe you already know this, but better twice told, than once sorry.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. That's what I am going to do this time. I will reconstruct the rainforest section again but I will tweak it a little bit. :heaster1

After several failed attempts with zoo map editor tool ( it just wouldn't allow me to build even after I removed it from my files), so I decided to use the the large crater lake map. The zoo is going to be the same theme as I was attempting before, building six seperate sections (conf & dec, rainforest, savannah, marine, dino, and highland & artic). There will be one entrance/exit for each section and a path down the middle of the zoo. I went conf/dec section first and here's an overview of it:

I built exhibits by entrance (unicorn, moose, and horses), and then I added a bridge to bear island - where the grizzilies and black bears roam. The black bear section is surrounded by the salt croc exhibit. Here's a pic of bear island:

On the other side of the island, I built exhibits for Siberian tigers, gray wolves, serow's, and mexican wolves. Here's a picture of the mexican wolves and serow's:

The last picture for today is overview of the completed section. Next up is the rainforest section, which I hope to recreate form the crashed game earlier

You are on a roll again there buddy  :wtg Sorry to hear about the Mapeditor though, maybe you will get it working again. When you place the entrance, look at the benchpicture in the objects section to see which way the entrance is facing. Just to make sure you got it the right way around.

Here's another update on my new zoo. I just completed the rainforest section. I built what I call a cat walk, it's section of all of the rainforest cats on a path heading upward.

And the last picture for tonight is an overview of the rainforest section - lots of greenery.

The next section I am going to build is the marine section with an atlantis theme. Even I though I usually don't use that many marine species in my zoos, how I am planning to put it together was the original inspiration for this zoo

Well, I finally started the marine land section of my zoo. It took a lot of prep work. The entrance starts out with atlantis arches heading into the shark pit with the shark tunnel with all 4 species of sharks surrounding it.
