Cabana Club ZT1 Quilt

Here's the ZT1 Cabana Club Quilt!  We chose a map made by Bielski, called Lake Resort.  Be sure to click all the screenshots to get a closer look!

Here is the overview of my section, which we will be touring through first.

Here is a close-up of the entrance.  The entrance came with the map, and is Bielski's design.   You can see a glimpse of upcoming exhibits, including White Bengal Tiger and Przewalski's Wild Horse.

Here is the entrance without the trees so you can get a better look.

The first exhibit we come to is the White Bengal Tiger exhibit.  In this shot you can see the exhibit, which is of an unusual shape, and the designated viewing area.  However to maximize guest happiness they can gaze at the tigers all along the path.

Continuing on from the viewing area, guests can circle around and view the Malaysian Tapirs.  And after that you can find the Hippos & Flamingos happily sharing an exhibit.  But, where are the tapirs?

Here they are!  All those ficus trees were blocking them, so I'll just make them invisible for you.

Doubling back from the hippos and tapirs, you'll find the always-entertaining Saltwater Crocodiles.  You can also see the back of the guest swimming area in this picture.

If you continue straight along the path, you'll come to the Asian Elephant exhibit.  You can see the zoo has been very successful with its breeding program as the baby elephant is laying right there in the middle of the exhibit.  These guys are so cute, aren't they?

Here's the exhibit from a different angle, without the trees.

If you continue 'round the corner of the Asian Elephant exhibit, you'll come to the bongos.  Their beautiful coloring stands out nicely against the rainforest green.

Let's turn the corner again and get rid of all those obstructing trees.

And now we're coming back to the entrance.  The last exhibit for new is Pzrewalski's Wild Horse.  They are right at home, already having a baby despite having just moved in.

Our last picture for now: the Pzrewalski's Wild Horse exhibit without the trees.  From here you can also get a good shot of the entrance, Lobby's restaurant, and the entrance to the Swim Shack.

Oh lovely, Peacenote! You've done a great start and have a very artistic eye! Wish we had all those animals in ZT2 (but we're gaining on y'all).

 Great job Peacenote. I really enjoy seeing how you used my map to make it better and more beautiful.

Just a little note to all: When you take screenshots, it looks much better with the grid turned off :blushing:

Wow, thanks for all the nice comments, everyone.  :blushing:   These are my first ZT1 screenshots that I've ever posted, besides the Easter screenshot contest.  And that was not a real zoo.

I can't wait to see what the rest of you come up with!  :original:

Ok, I've come up with a little Safari tour inside this zoo. For the Dutch people around.. it's a little like the safari section of the Beekberger Zoo near Arnhem. ahumm or at least there is where the idea came from.

Here an overview of the loop:

sorry for the grid, I forgot to turn it off.

Here is another shot of the far-most corner:

In this safari you can see the African Elephants, Black Rhino's, Lions, Buffalo's,Tricaratopo's, Zebra's, Wildebeast, Black Buck, Leopards, and Warthrogs. They all walk free around and are only seperated by the guest by a grape vine.. So you better have your nerves together before starting this Safari. Halfway you can take a rest and a bite to eat and then run back to the 'safe' part of the Cabana zoo.

Here another shot without the trees:

For me with the grid if I look at it too long, it looks like it's SUPPOSED to be there!  I forget that it might look prettier without it!  I think it's in ALL of my pictures up there!

Ooo! I hardly ever get to see Zoohio's ZT1 zoos! It's interesting to see the similarities and differences in the way you build in each game. Both are quite stunning!

Great job everyone on the quilt! It's like all the oldies sitting around with their knitting needles.

HEY! I resemble that remark! : :P :
It is a great job, y'all. I wish we could do those kind of things with ZT2, for sure. Maybe someday.
