Thank you Seraphii, I'm having fun with it, but I'm starting to run out of decorating ideas for the Oriental theme.

Change of pace here: last night I decided to make a new map. I haven't done one in about a year  so I just played around with it a bit. Here is a pic of my new LZNY Small Boardwalk Map. It's a change for me as I put the entrance in a far corner instead of right in the middle.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBoardwlkMappic.jpg

I have sumbitted the map for download--and this time I was a good girl :innocent:  --no user made downloads :pinch:  ( do you KNOW how hard that was?!). Anyway, this is an overview pic of it. If the Admins don't find any problems with it hopefully it will be available in a couple of days.

I've just been informed that the Admin who has my map is temporarily offline due to modem problems.: :( :  They hope to be back up and running on Monday. If anyone had been interested in my latest small map (see above) please be patient as I'm sure it will get uploaded early in the week. :original:  Many Thanks!

Hiya!! (cough cough) Wow this thread got a bit dusty. I didn't realize it's been that long since I last visited here. I have a few new pics of a little bit of building I've done. There are 2 new exhibits and another attraction that have been added to the Oriental Forest, so let's start the tour.

First up, we now have the Insect House on the other side of the entrance to the Forest. Then we have the Asian Black Bear exhibit next to it.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkAsianBearsInsectHs.jpg

I guess my bears like their new home--lookie what I got!

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkInsectHsAsianBearBaby.jpg

Behind the Asian Black Bears I put in one of my favorite restaurants-Pizza Hut! Hey, it matched the color theme! : :) :

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkPizzaHutAsianBear.jpg

The most recent exhibit is for the Japanese Serow. I still need to tweak the landscaping around the exhibit and the viewing area.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkJapaneseSerow.jpg

This is the most recent overview, and the last pic for now.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/MedBdwkOrientalForestOview2.jpg

Hopefully I'll be able to do some more building soon-I'm really missing my game! :blushing:

LadyZ, where did you get the Pizza Hut building and sign?  I looked in the downloads and can't locate it.  I did a search on it and came up with a zoo download that uses it, but the building itself is not there.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

BTW, love the pics....  you really are the checkerboard path queen......

Thanks Seraphii--sorry to hear about the pizza incident! But you are right about it adding just the right color to the decor.

Zoomeister--thank you for your sweet compliments! :blushing: The Pizza Hut pack can be dowloaded from ZooKeepers Lounge website Here. The pack includes the sign for it. Hope it will work for you-but watch the .dll file as it may be a combined file for many buildings/objects and you might need to edit your ZT folder to get it work. Just an F.Y.I. : :) :

Yes, I see that the .dll files can be conflicting now.  Thanks for the tip.  I can see how one .dll file that is combined could be an advantage.  Trouble is with all the d/loads out there, which .dll files are included in the total combined one?  LoL.  Just gotta be careful, I guess.

Most of the combined .dll files here at ZA will have text file in the zip that will detail which downloads it will cover. I'm not sure about the ZKL combined files though-try sending a PM to Jay here and he should be able to answer your question about that.

I'm bbbaaaacccccccckkkkkkkk!! :paperbag:  I know, it's been too long but sometimes work has to come first (I have no idea why! : :P : )  I have temporarily shelved my medium zoo for now because I wanted to test out my new small map. I do this with every map I make to see what effect it has on guest happiness and zoo ratings. This one is a bit of a challenge for me personally because the entrance is on a corner, something I've never done before successfully. So, here is what I have so far:

The first exhibit was for the Asian Elephants.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkAsianElephants.jpg

Across from them I put in the Green Peafowl.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkPeafowl.jpg

Next to the Asian Elephants are some very peaceful neighbors, the Bongos.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkAsiansBongos.jpg

A view of the Peafowl and the entrance. The gift shop is off to the right, which I forgot to include in these pics.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkEntrncPeafowl.jpg

I put in Lowland Gorillas, but forgot that their gorilla climbing bars weren't researched yet (serves me right for building in a bad mood :pinch: ). They do now have them though.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkGorillas.jpg

When I put in primate or ape exhibits, I always like to have the Primate House next to them.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkGorillasPrimate.jpg

I've tried to build a large island area surrounded by a lagoon (it's still under construction). The first exhibit are for my beloved Bengal Tigers.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkBigCatIsland.jpg

The Hard Rock Cafe was just the perfect size to put in across from the tigers.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/LadySlopokes/ZooPics/LZNYSmBdwkHRCfountain.jpg

And, of course, the last pic is an overview.

Thank you everyone! I'm making this pretty much just a rain forest zoo because I just love the look of all the colors in a rain forest setting. I have done some more building, and I'm hoping to get those pics up later today. Stay Tuned!
