heres the proof. A hyena komodo dragon mix

all you have to do is open the file that has its animations (the .bfm) and replace the animals code name with a different animals animation files. Just dont change the very top line (.nif) and the grapg name thing.

NOTE: It doesnt always look like an actual animal. Sometime you may get a bizaree mass of limbs and whatnot.

TRY SWITICHIN ANINMAL'S ROLES, LIKE IF YOU MIXED A HYENEA'S ANIMATIONS WITH A KOMODOS, MIX A KOMODOS ANIMATIONS WITH A HYENAS. its different.

There is a different way, by using the bfm of one animal, and the nif of another, it makes one animal use anothers actions

Zooasaurus, that is exactly the same thing

And yep! You can download a kudu in the scrub pack which is a mix between markhor and gemsbok, but that's the only mix I've ever gotten that looks like something. Hopefully you can find something good! Good luck

I'm trying to do this, I'm attempting to make the barbary ape act like a secretary bird (never liked barbary apes much anyway) and I went into the secretary bird file, copied everything after the .nif bit, pasted it into the barbary ape file, and replaced all the old barbary ape animations. I went on the game, and the little icon that shows the price and what the animal looked like looked weird, but when i placed the barbary ape it was still on its knuckles as usual and couldn't move a muscle. What did I do wrong?

Some animal models just can't be mixed together for one. For another, you probably have a mismatch in the XML or bfm files

You could make a cool prehistoric animal from that mix blackdragon. I remember seeing something like that on some special.

I don't like mythical creatures, but we need more prehistoric ones, so that is where this may be a good thing.

Maybe it could be possible to make a velocerraptor with the secretary bird and something?

I tried a number of combinations, including the hyena and Komodo, and the last two including the hyena. The adoption panel that shows what the animal looks like works, but I place the animal and it's invisible. What going on?

yeah, but that is just a darker recolor, and although it looks great, I think they want more of a 'human' werewolf.

I fear we are getting off topic, I tried the ostrich and wolf mix but it was just a mass of tangled limbs

That;s too bad about the ostrich/werewolf thing. Can you combine a humans and a wolf and still have it work as an animals?

i dont think so. The human and animal are totally different units. You might get the model but it would not move or do anything, just stand.

Hey, if you mixed a grizzly bear and a Nile crocodile or Komodo dragon together, would it resemble something like a dinosaur? Or would it resemble another writhing mass...

You are incorrect yinyangwolf - the one you are thinking of, which uses a wolf and a guest for the images is different from the ZT2 version at ZT2DC.
