What if we tried making variant models? What if a Mesher modded a model and saved the nif as "Codename_2.nif" kinda like with variants?

Would it work???

The only animal coded to have model varients right now is the Narwhal. And mesh editing is still hard and its not as easy as everyone thinks it is. In either event, currently the coding isn't cracked for that.

Yipee! That's just what I wanted. Well, could a mesher check how to do this, since the narwhal can??? But, don't take this as a request, this only for a mesher with a lot of time on his or her hands.

It's not as easy as having a new mesh, which isn't easy either (if you have noticed, very few meshes work in game). It's also about the coding...you can't just add _2 to whatever you want, the game has to be coded to LOOK for that, which is not a piece of cake.
