Where Do Variant Skins Go?

I recently changed my settings on zt2 to medium so now i can see variant skins. I downloaded 2 off ZA (black jaguar and golden tabby tiger) i extracted them into my dl folder but they don't work, i bought loads of each animal to see if they would but they didn't.

Variant skins should be placed where you place your downloaded animals. Where do you place the animals ? In the main directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2) or in the application data folders ?

i place them in the application data folder, which is where i put the variants but they didnt work :sad

Yes, it does. when i first started downloading i tried puttin my animals in their but i didn't work, poor deluded me :rolleyes
i have never tried putting variants in their though

Put the variants there, you could also put any downloaded animals in there. But make sure that both the zoo tycoon 2 file and the dl file are in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2, NOT the dl file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2  and the Zoo Tycoon 2 file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\(name of creator).
