Animals not loading in game (crowned crane, mini ponies, fishing cat...)

I've installed the miniature ponies (which are adorable btw) and the African Crowned Crane, but neither of them are showing up in the game. The Fjordland pony and the fishing cat aren't either. So I wanted to ask if anybody knows whether or not these animals work in marine mania? I've tried adding and re-adding the files and downloading them again, but nothing has worked so far.

If it's just because I have marine mania, would anyone know how I could edit and fix the files? Thank you!

well since these files did come out before mm2 came out in stores, they probably are not updated to be compatible with marine mania.  a lot of designers update their files when a new expansion comes out and i don't think there is a way for you to edit them to be compatible with your game.  my advice would be to wait until they are updated by their creators.

Hmm. I know the fishing cat just came out a couple days ago, is the reason I wondered if it was just my game and not marine mania. But the rest did come out before MM2. I was afraid I'd reached my download max! But thank you. If it is just because of Marine Mania I will indeed wait; I just wanted to be sure it isn't something else

It should not be due to a download max - for ZT2 there isn't one that we are aware of! So it may be that the files will need to be updated to work with MM.

All the files require AA to work correctly. It has nothing to do with MM2. I have MM2 and mine work fine. You DO have AA, right?

Huh. really? I do have AA; I've gotten all the expansion packs to date. That's really weird, knowing that... have there been any patches out lately, does anybody know?

Do you have any downloads that ARE showing in the game?

If so I'd move the .ztf files into the folder where those are and see if it makes a difference.

I actually have all three of those downloads in my zoo with MM2 and haven't had any problems so I don't think MM2 is the issue.

All the rest are working, and all the files are in the same spot -- the downloads folder. I think my next step is to go through that folder and be absolutely certain the files are all in there correctly. This is so strange. Thanks for letting me know, though... hmm.

When downloads don't work for me, I take JUST the .z2f and put it in the MAIN ZT2 directory

Thank you, I will try that now. I got the mini ponies working by re-adding the files one more time, but no luck with the fishing cat or crowned crane. I'll edit this to let you know if moving the files works.

EDIT: Oh glee! It worked I now have crowned cranes! I'm going to do the same with the fishing cat. Thank you so much!

Yep no problem. Generally the problem in the downloads folder is just a mix up in how the files are situated, so its much easier to just put it in the main directory.

Man, this is so awesome. I put in some old files from a while back that never had worked for me and they're all working. Thank you thank you. I'll remember this for future reference ^^
