the asian elephant now has a varient, i dont remember this one, especially since this was a ZT2 download without any expansions. im thinking it came with the addax or marine mania. here take a look:

im not sure if any of the other official bonus downloads have varients, but i do know that the official African Adventures Extra, the addax, does.

I do not believe there is a narwhal varient in the game having two tusks. Believe me- I just placed 130 male narwhals in my zoo and none of them have double tusks. The only varients I've noticed is some have a greyish tone and some have a more greyish/brownish/purplish hue.

Don't believe that I placed 130? Take a look!

I know Mika found the files for a two tusked narwhal, but sometimes files are left out of the game and not used, but can still be found, i.e. the sheep that was made into an ambient.

Actually, Bengal, one narwhal in your picture looks like it has two tusks!  The one directly in the middle on the left side.  Could just be another one hiding behind it, though.  : :P :

 Good eye! But I do think it is one hiding behind another. I actually ended up with 330 male narwhals in that zoo, placed each one and made sure to check for double tusks. I went back and looked through that tank (All 130!) and couldn't find one with double tusks. So I'm pretty sure one narwhal was just hiding behind another and trying to trick us : :P :

There's a picture of a two tusked narwhal here: http://zoo.ogresnet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6078&page=13

Could you guys please post some pictures of the variants?

The asian elephant skin came with ES.

The files for the narwhal indeed contain a varient model, and a Crooky has pointed out a picture a member has posted of one. I think they must be very rare though.

Two-Tusked Narwhals?
« Reply #37 on: November 21, 2006, 05:04:43 PM »
On zootycoon.com and wikipedia, the narwhal seems to be able to have two tusks. Is this true? Has anyone ever got a two-tusked narwhal? If so, how is it obtained?

Merged with the Marine Varients thread. Check page 2 for the answer you seek, and remember in the future to use the [topic=5628]Search[/topic] feature before starting a new topic.

But yes, the Narwhal has a very rare two-horned model varient.

Ok. This may be old news, but the two-horned Narwhal I have is the 'Narwhal 7', meaning that it was actually born there, and not adopted. Does it mean that varients now may occur in births too?

While I can't tell you for sure, it may be that the two horn can ONLY be gotten through birth, as Bengal couldn't get one hrough 130 adoptions. I know that the varient exists; the model is there, and photos exist. That does not necessairly mean we can transfer this find to other animals.
