I was just wondering which expansion people thought was better MM or AA.
Which do you think has better content, why?

MM adds 20 animals, along with all new ways of creating exhibits. It adds way more than AA, which really only adds 20 animals. I thought AA was a farely, for the lack of a much nicer word, pathetic expansion pack, that didn't really add to the ZT2 gameplay. MM, on the other hand, opens up a whole new world of gameplay in ZT2, even if they kinda cut corners on a few things.

I got both together and I have to say MM is loads better - AA adds nothing to the game except 20 animals and some scenery. MM2 adds a whole new dimension to the game. I suggest you buy MM2 - you could always buy AA later.

It's not just the animals - MM2 also has shows and lets you train the animals, lets you go underwater and swim with the animals, loads of stuff.

Yeah, I agree. MM2 has so many new features like training or diving and with the tank walls you can finally build animal houses! :party5: Of course, on the other hand, MM2 has many bugs, but it's definetly a better xp than AA.

My version doesn't seem to have most of the bugs people are talking about, so I wouldn't say ALL games are very buggy, but thats just me! :original:

I haven't even got MM yet, but I would probably say african adventure. It is mostly because the animals where my favorites and they where so much more detailed then before xps.

it seems that bugs in MM do not affect everyone in the same way or with the same animals or even at all for some people however for the most part it seems to affect one or more animal after which they dont want to eat or do much else just stand about and complain about being hungry and thirsty

MM definately.  I thought AA really didn't bring that much to the table besides new animals( a few already similar models), while MM had a slew of things.

AA. I like the 'old' way of terrain building, the animals and I like the theme.

MM has way too many bug issues and only a few things that intrest me. Maps cant be big enough to use it properly.
Why did I go buy it.........I want my money back.

I don't really care about having too little objects, so I love both. I have to say I will slightly prefer Marine Mania, but I love African Adventure too. Here's alist of new stuff for both expansions::

African Adventure

  • 20 Very Detailed Animlas
  • A New Caimpaign
  • Desert Themed Objects
  • Herding, Pack, Unpredictable and Jeep-Tossing Behavior
  • One New Food Item
  • Enrichment Items
  • A Couple of Shelters
  • The First Live Food

Marine Mania

  • 20 Detailed Animals
  • Several New Caimpaigns
  • Marine and Pirate Themed Objects
  • Tonnes of Other Objects
  • Animals Go Underwater (and so can you)
  • Tanks
  • Marine Plants
  • Enrichment Items (including the ability to kick balls and seal dummies)
  • New Food
  • Four New Biomes
  • New Shelters
  • Two Live Food and a Scenery Live Food
  • A New Staff Member
  • More Variant Skins

What d'ya think? Remember, I'm only listing positives. Negatives.. maybe next time, but probably not.

Yes, I would suggest MM. I have both but it seems that ZT runs better now that I have MM installed. I'm happy with it at least.  :whistling:

I personally think MM is better. AA was okay, but a bit boring. Like everyone has said all it added was animals.

MM adds a lot more than that. It makes it so that animals such as the hippo can swim underwater. I just find MM to be more entertaining.

So I would get MM and then AA.

Well personally I think that the best expansion of the 2 was MM but AA added quite a bit of biodiversity and realism, and the desert theme wasn't bad either. The best thing that came with AA was the meerkats :D . Don't forget that if you didn't already hav ES than AA also added the jeeps to the game and that if you did, then it would put in some new coats of paint and a new type of jeep.

What about ES  ?

I think that ES was the best Exp of all of them so far.

i don'tknow what i prefer, MM because of tanks and the ability to landscape underwater. But i also like AA as the animals are amazing, and very realistic, as opposed to the MM animals which are more cartoony. but then MM has more objects... i don't know what to choose  :crying: but i would probably say MM after my academic comparison of the games :P

I like both MM and AA though Marine Mania has more cool features like shows and swimming with animals.  But for MM there's a downside too, it requires a better graphics card to be installed on your computer than AA because of the underwater views. Choose either one but keep in mind that MM probabely needs your computer to be a little more up-to date.

Let's put it this way...I've never been more involved with ZT2 since installing Marine Mania 2. African Adventure is good, but you're basically doing what you already did with ZT2 and ES. MM2 adds a whole new dimension. I used to do the basic jobs around the zoo, like feeding and cleaning, but now I'm often too busy training the show animals for that.
