I have Paint Shop Pro 8 and I am still having  trouble recoloring my animal. Can anyone help me with the steps in recoloring the animal. Please let me know as soon as possible.

Have you downloaded Penguinman's VAT? It covers in depth the way to recolor animals. It's for varients, so if you are making a new animal, then just utilize the same steps as in the guide you are using (assuming APE II) and use this as a guide for recoloring.

Even with VAT I still can't make animal varients. Oh well
