Finding Entities, man i feel stupid
« on: November 11, 2006, 10:12:42 AM »
Okay I feel really dumb right now.  Back in the day, before AA Came out, i was recoloring ALOT, most of which was for my own enjoyment, and i did a few frogs up for download.  But i'm getting the itch again to do some more skins since MM2 came out.  HOWEVER, being a forgetful, i forgot how to access my entities file.  I use dxtbmp to get them into photoshop but i can't remember for the life of me where to get the entities folder.  I seem to remember using a tutorial on this site t help me the first time, but i can't anymore.  can anyone just give me a quick refresher?  (i'm hoping it didn't dramaticlly change with MM2).:blushing: :wacko:

Nope, you just forgot, that's all :lolol:

ES = x100_000
AA = x110_000
MM = x200_000

Under each of them is entities/units/XXX-ANIMAL'S NAME
:original:

okay, maybe i'm more absent minded than i thought....  The numbers, i remember...  where to find them, i dont...  Is it in the program folders/micrsoftgames/zootycoon2/  route?  Becuase i see ones with numbers that are similar to those, but not exactly those.  I seem to remember needing to un zip those folders in order to gain access to the entities, correct?

i  my early post, I meant i couldn't FIND the tutorial anymore, lol, oops....

Yes, Nettie, you need to use WinRAR or WinZip to unzip those folders to a copy somewhere in order to use them.

x200_000

in the main folder, ei. C/Programfiles/microsoftgames/zootycoon2/ ?  because i do not see them in this file.   have my hidden folders turned on as well....  or is it under c/applicationsdata/all users blah blah....  :)

I found them, thank you csleesburg!  Since i have the collector's edition (I waited too long to get AA, they went and lumped em together...  I had to buy all three just to get the one. :( )  And they are under another name.....   I believe it's X151_000.

aha! Well, I don't have the CC so I wouldn't know that one. Glad you found what you needed, though, so I'll close this thread. Thanks for letting us know.
