I like to get all the savannah animals in one exhibit (lions inc) and put in camels, roos and gemboks, plus the arabian oryx, dama and mhorr gazzelles (need 2 download) and sometimes i put in crocs, hippos and flamingoes. Giraffes and okapis work well. polar bears and grizzlys. All the tropical animals with moose. just stuff from the same sort of biome. u can mix different types of similar biomes, eg boreal, temperate and tropical forests. or try putting animals in different biomes that are found in the same sort of geological place. like nile crocs in a desert exhibit, or beavers in boreal forests, stuff like that

I prefer not to use mixed exhibits but I have one exception to that rule. The hippos and flamingoes are always combined. Occasionaly I will combine the rhinos, ostriches. I did for also combine the okapis and chimpanzees for a short period and noticed that this exhibit was always popular with the peeps by the amount of $$$$$ brought in. If limited by space I will combine the zebras/gazelles or the camels/gemsboks into one exhibit but this usually means I need to limit the number of animals of each.

It is for that reason that I don't use mixed exhibits. Most of the time you need to make the exhibits very large for the animals and in that process it becomes more difficult for the peeps (ten space rule) to see into the exhibits unless you make them very long and narrow.

zoodude123 I think he's talking abut ZT1... :erm
Well I love Prezwalski's Wild Horses and American bison. I like predator/prey exhibits. In some cases in ZT1 they won't attack each other. Yay. :rolleyes

Savannah: Zebra, Gazelle, Rhino, Buffalo, Gnu, Ostrich - warning - creates a LOT of poo.
Elephant/Rhino/Giraffe or a combo of any of the above can work.

MM- many combos possible - putting in a combo of sharks really gets the guests attention. Mako, Hammer & Tiger work well. They do run out of food quickly though.

Most of the MM mammals go together OK - the keeper will say that some are incompatible - just ignore it.

I like putting the jungle cats together as well. I can use the pretty waterfall :happy . One combo I usually do is the Thomsan's Gazzel(misspelled), Zebras and giraffs. I'm not sure why, they just all look good together. :rolleyes

Just about any savannah herbivore will go together.

I don't normally do mixed exhibits, but when I do it's usually just zebra/gazelle or bengal tiger/white benal tiger.

I ususally make a Congo rainforest zoo.  I put Chimps, gorillas, okapi and forest elephants in one exhibit.  Then i seperate it with a small mountain range and on the other side i put my black leopards, dwarf crocs and pygmy hippos.

The tigers? No.

I put Black Leopards and Clouded Leopards together once...

and I love the Sea Lion/Sea Otter exhibit. I did it because in a scenario the sea lions kept going back to the otter tank after their shows so eventually I let them stay there...

Sometimes I do a blck rhino/ostrich/wildebeest/zebra/quagga (dl)/gazelle/cape buffalo. That's the biggest I've ever done. Has anyone done one bigger?
