Lifespan of Humpback Whales?
« on: September 17, 2006, 03:07:09 PM »
In year 4 of one of my zoos, I built a giant tank and threw some humpback whales in there. And now, in year 16, the same ones are still there. Man. Most animals live 2-4 years. How long are these guys supposed to live? I'm so sick of them...

I think they live for about twenty years in the game (of course real humpbacks live to around eighty years). At least be glad your taking good care of them.

The way the "Grim Reaper" works in ZT1 is that animals have an age where they're considered "old". "Old" animals have a "half-life" - thus it is theoretically possible for animals to live on indefinitely.
