YAYAY!!! I just got it and I really like them! They are so cute, with at least one varient skin that I've seen, and they have a great peculiar gait when they run. :wub:

can somebody make a download out of the addax, not a differant animal, the addax, because i cant get the addax to work:angry:
and if you go to the main site and products it says marine mania. and if you click on animals it shows all the animals. and I say that some their skins are bad.:sick:

This is an outrage!!! The beluga and pilot whale are the exact same model except the pilot whale is a little bit chubbier , the walrus uses the same sound as in ZT1 and has NO blubber at all , the Leather back turtle has a COMPLETELY wrong design , The goblin sharks mouth is supposed to look like a beak , the marlin looks like its drawn by hand , the false killer whale looks like a user creation , the manta ray is supposed to be black with a white stomach yet it is all grey , the manatee looks like someone gave the pygmy hippo fins , turned it grey and put the face of a walrus on it , the otter looks waaaay too weird, and the white shark HAS NO WHITE !!!! I bet if I really tried I could find something wrong with every animal.

What are you talking about, the skins are the best I've seen from BlueFang! :thumbsup:
You probably need to buy the game and get a closer look to see the animals fully :wink:

i just downloaded the addax and i must say, it is one of their better downloads. i have one question: has anyone else noticed that they do not require water? is this a bug?

Addaxes not requiring water is not a bug. In the wild, the water they need come from th e vegetation they eat o.o
They should've taken out the need to drink for koalas too...

I just saw the MM part and checked bonus downloads about 3 hrs ago and it wasn't there. It seems they added an "extras" part to the site.

Just got the addax and it's lovely. The males and females have different skins and the models are very well done. In my opinion they look great mixed with scimitar horned oryx. I also enjoyed reading the new animal escapades, they're quite cute.

Am I the only one who noticed that in the MM animal list, that the marlin doesn't look at all like its part of the game? It looks like a picture I can find on Google.
Otherwise, great Addax! Yay! I've tried it, even though they don't recommend water, they will drink it.
Edit: Also, the picture of the leatherback turlte in the list is alittle different than the one ingame sceenshot on the front page of the MM2 section. Theres no sopts on the shell. Looks like they didn't finish the list and were in a rush. IMO.

The addax is very good, I like it's hooves. I think it is one of the most realistic looking ZT2 animals. Thank you very much BF!!!! The MM2 section is also fantastic!!

yay finally an update!!! I saw all the animals too, anyone notice anything about some of the animals? The Pilot Whale and Beluga Whale are almost the same. Except the Bleuga has a neck, and the Pilot Whale has dorsal fin. The Pilot Whale is a little pudgy whereas they are streamlined in the wild. It is very cute though. The manatee is very interesting, I hope it can go in Wetland water too. BF did an excellent job though on the animals; they look so realistic and I am very pleased. Everything looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for more XPs in the future! I showed my mom some of the animals and she thought that some of them were VERY cute.

Yay! I downloaded the addax, and it works to perfection! Nice gender dimorphism too.
Yay! The site finally updated, and I couldn't be happier! Sure, some of the animals could be tweaked, but couldn't you say the same thing about many of the previous animals? In my opinion, BF did and excellent job!
PS: Has anyone else noticed that the narwhal in one screenshot has 2 tusks? Just like real life rarities that do!

Okay, but that dosen't explain why the marlin dosen't look any at all like a BF creation.

Oh, I hope it's a model variant. If all of one gender were like that I'd be VERY angry. But, since I don't know yet, I'm still happy. I can't wait for MM2! The marlin does look a little...interesting...but I'm sure it'll look fine in the game. The Addax is absolutely fabulous! No complaints whatsoever except for that the addax icon seems almost a bit small compared to the other animals. But, it's not a big deal. What a great day!

Honestly, I really like the blue marlin. I think it's great looking, and it's probobly my favorite of the MM2 animals. I haven't looked at one animal yet, the white shark, only because I want one new animal (to me).

I noticed that a week back. Its very interesting. It could'nt be a gender difference, seeing how that it is simply a very rare occurance in both genders. It is probably a very rare variant.

Yay! I love these animals more than any other expansion! They're SO realitic!
But I must say, the marlin looks more like a concept design, but it stll looks brill! :woot:
Don't know why, but the picture of the faklse killer whale looks really cute, my favourite cetacian in the expansion.

I actually got really excited when I saw the updates. I like the Blacktip Reef Shark and California Sea Lion! The Blue Marlin and Sea Otter are cool too!
Edit: The Goblin Shark isn't as creepy as I thought. It's actually kinda cute!

I downloaded the addax today and have just had a little play with it. Its lovely! Its a fanatastic addition to the desert exhibits. Just what I needed to keep me occupied til MM2....:whistling

Why do they not need water? I think BF should have made them need very little water and only drink once in a while. No mammal can live without water. Other than that this is a great animal. I can't wait for any future bonuses : :) :

The addax is a really cool addition. It is awesome how they don't need water in an exhibit. They do need water, they just get it from moist food.

They get all of their water from food, so no, they don't need a seperate water dish :happy:

Certain animals can live their entire lives without a single sip of water; desert animals especially are known for this ability, so BF making it so that they don't require water is actualyl very realistic.

Yesterday it took me an hour to download it ( lousy dial-up! : :P : ) But, it was well worth it. With the es xp I made a wildlife reserve on the desert oasis map. I would hug the Addax, and if it was scared, it would probably kick me :laughing: : :P :

I haven't downloaded the addax yet, 'cause my computer's in the shop, getting fixed. Now, I'm using my mom's computer. The addax looks awesome, it has alot of muscle on it, and it's hooves are very detailed, as they spread apart, like a desert-dwelling ungulate would in real life.

Its been there since ZT2 was released - if you look in the original disc files and unzip maps you will see it.
I used to play with ZT2 in French language but it's not possible to download the addax? Why?
the Addax is only for english versions of ZT2 at the moment unfortunately.

Not stupid at all. Desert Shore is not new. RND said it was in the original files.

Has anyone else been able to install the Addax with DD (I have ES and AA too)? I keep trying to install it but I get an error message stating that ZT2 is not installed. I'm totally frustrated because the Addax looks so cool! :angry:

It works fine with me and i have DD2, do you have anything installed on zt2 that could cause it besides the eps? I love the Addax varients!

Hello, I haven't visited for a while. The Addax is beautiful but, at the risk that you will all throw poo at me, I think they're a bit boring. Mine just stand there for the most part. For incredibly long periods of time. But guests seem to love them (and enjoy the puppet).
My question is, how big a cage did you put yours in to see it scamper around? Maybe mine just need some more space.

Remember with the AA photo game, when the last level had a T-Rex in? I was slightly disappointed there weren't any surprises in this one too. On the other hand, since none of us have any idea what the next expansion will be, I suppose it was a little too early for that.

I would like that too. I think it would be fun if something came out that was a complete surprise! Even the addax we were told it was coming ahead of time (not that I don't :wub: them or anything!).

I thought I remembered BF_Steve telling us that there were going to be two bonus download animals, the addax and something else.
I searched through some old threads and found this info posted in July in the Steve Talks Dino Danger and More thread. Here is the quote from the thread .......

Yes. In fact, we have an addax that will be available on the official site shortly, and we have another animal planned for this fall.
Well, the addax was delayed and not released to fairly recently, so I wonder when the other animal will be released, and more importantly what is the other animal

What makes any of you think they're going to do another one? Looks to me like they've got all the major expansions covered. Sure, there's more animals to do I guess. But we're already pretty close with ZT2 to matching the animal total for ZT1. Why do they need to do another? :wicked:
