how do i download user animals for zoo tycoon 2

Click on start, then my computer, then HP_Pavillion (C:), then Program Files, then Microsoft Games, then Zoo Tycoon 2. Minimize that window. Let's say you want to download the pygmy goat. Click "download here'. Then a window should come up, and click 'open'. Then the windows extracting wizard will help ypu extract it. Then a new folder will come up. Click on that. open up the minimized ZT2 window and drag the pygmy goat file into that.

There are two methods you can use.  The original/standard method tutorial is here. Just a couple of notes about it: 1- If you have WinXP, you do not have to use WinZip as XP has a zip/extract prigram built in & 2- you will only need to do step 1 the first time you download.  The second download method is here.  Although the first method is a bit more complicated, it puts the files in the same place as the official downloads and is probably a bit safer.
