downloads.

ive been downloading downloads from this sight for a while
and ive been using the correct way on how to download
and the game was acting up so i re-installed it
and now NONE of the downloads will show up in the game.

to download, i used the tutorial where you need winzip
and you unzip it and put it into the downloads file.
but there was also no downloads file.
so i made one, and put them in there.

is it because the downloads file isnt the actual downloads file from the game?
or is it something TOTALLY different?

Did you check your downloads folder and make sure that the downloads were actually still there? Also, to make the downloads folder appear, you have to download the official animals from the in game menu. And to see the folder itself you have to have hidden folders visible.

Thats one way to do it (as Mikaboshi said), but theres also another way:

First, save the folder to My computer/C Drive/program files/Microsoft games/Zoo tycoon 2. Then, extract it with Winzip to the same place (My computer/C Drive/program files/Microsoft games/Zoo tycoon 2). When you open up the folder, you will find two things: a folder, and a file. Go inside the second folder, and you will find another file. Cut that file, and exit out of the second folder, back into the first one (where the other file was) and paste it next to the first file. Then, select both the files, cut them, and paste them in the main ZT2 folder. You will be left with two empty folders (one within the other) You can delete these empty folders if you wish. When you load up the game, the downloads should work.

Just make sure that the files you download are compatible with the version of ZT2 your running

Unfortunately when you uninstall the game there is no way to stop unofficial dls from being deleted. Your only choice is to go back and download them all again. If you ever need to uninstall ZT2 in the future you can cut and paste all your dls to another location outside of the ZT2 files so they won't be lost, you just have to put them back in the proper game file once the game is re-installed.

i downloaded ALL the official downloads
and there is no downloads folder in APP. data.

plus, i put i put the files in both app. data and programfiles/microsoft/zt2.
and they still wont work.
now i have NO clue what is wrong.
