Animals Can't Find Food

Whenever I play this for a while my animals will get hungrier and hungrier, and even though I can see food in their exhibit they can't find any.  Is there a patch to fix this?
After a while they start shaking.

That's odd, I've never heard of that.  Are you sure they aren't cut of from it through rocks/trees?  It can happen, you left like one square and only one can get to the food.  Which version of ZT do you have?

There is a patch available for the original Zoo Tycoon game which may fix your problem. It can be found here. Let us know if this fixes your problem  :)

They won't die from not eating, so long as you make sure that there's food in the exhibit.

He said he has food in the exhibit, but the animals won't eat it.

Yes, try downloading the patch.  It sounds like a bug.  The first ZT had quite a few bugs.

Even after the patch (yes it does sound like the patch is needed), the animals might not eat when they are hungry, but it will not cause any problems as long as there is food in the exhibit.

Yeah, I already have the ZT patch.  And there is food in the exhibits, they just won't eat it.  I wouldn't mind the hack for dropping food.
It's not just one animal, so I can't sell them.  It's all of them.

Ah OK. Then it's nothing of concern. As long as the food remains in the exhibit, your animals won't suffer any ill effects save for empty hunger bars -- that's the way the game is made. When they want to eat, they will eat.

Yeah, they can be complete idiots at times. The animals, I mean.
