Please help re: free staff hack

:whistling Hi, I am new here.

I know absolutely nothing about hacks but am desperate for my staff to be free as I have a very large zoo and they are costing me 10's of thousands each month.

I tried to download the Free Staff hack but it didn't work and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

I basically just downloaded it and saved it in my Zoo Tycoon updates folder (as it said). I restarted the game but it didn't work. I then went back and (I think) unzipped the file (keeping it still in the Updates folder) and restarted the game again but still nothing happened.

I am desperate to get this as I have no money whatsoever left now and can't fire my staff!

What version of ZT1 are you using? For ZT and ZT+DD it would go in the Updates folder, for ZTCC and, I believe, ZT+MM or ZT+MM+DD it should go in the DLUpdate folder.

If that is not the problem, then you may have another download conflicting with it.
I would also move the zip file to another folder outside the ZT game files.

do you have any other hacks? because hacks can conflict with each other

I worked out how to do it in the end, I hadn't removed the unzipped file from it's folder so done that and now it works.

glad you solved it.  yes it does help if you unzip the files but people do forget
