1) how do put pictures in a post

yeah guys im new here and ide like to know how to get snapshots attched to these things

First, pic your location in your game. To take a pic, press "print screen". Next, go to microsoft paint and paste your pic. Save it as a jpg (it will say bmp near the bottom and click on it. Go down to jpg) and whatever you want. Then go to photobucket or imageshack and register. Go to browse and find your pic. Once you find it, click on it and click "upload". Then go to whatever thread you what and click "reply". Then go down to "Additional Options" and click it. After that, click "browse". Find your pic and upload it. Volia', there's your pic! Hopr this helps!

On these forums, you may attatch images by clicking the Additional Options text when you are posting, and selecting the picture you want to post by clicking Browse and finding the file. Click post and there you go!

Alternatively, if your image fits within our Image and Attachment Posting rules (see section 8 of the forum rules), then you may link an image from another site using the [IMG ]http://yourimage.com/yourimage.jpg[/IMG ] tags (remove the spaces) to display the image within a post.

That depends on where you have it. If you have used the 'print screen' option then it will most likely be in your "My pictures"

If you want to use those from within the game (your photoalbum), you will find those at: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\Application Data\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\Default Profile\photos

or something similar... under default profile, that might read your name or the name of the profile that you use to play the game.

What if your not allowed to use any of the online places like imageshack and photobucket? What do I do then?

Then you need to use the attachment option available in the additional options beneath the text area. Make sure to follow the attachment rules of ZA by clicking on the link that Shen provide a couple of posts ago.

If you get an error messege when trying to post a pic with this new software it means one of 2 things

1. your picture dimensions are to big. Your pic can be no large the 450 x 400 pixels in image size.

2. the file size for the pic is too big. Your pic can only be 100 kb in file size.

If either of these requirements are not met then you get the error messege.

How do I tell my image size/file size/image type?

Open windows explorer and go to where you saved your pic. hover your mouse over the pic and a little help box should appear and tell you some information about the file. In this box it will tell you the image size, image type and the file size. See the attached pic I have to show you what I mean.

Hi I know how to post pics normally but in sum there is sumthing like

"here sthe wolf variant..." and the word wolf wud be a link to a pic. How do u do that as I cant figure it out.

Type the word you want to make a link. On the left side of it put [ url=] and and after the = put the link you have, from photobucket in it or something. On the right of the word, put [/url ] without the space.

So then it looks something like

[ url=http://someplaceimadeup.com]Here is the Wolf varient[/url ]

remember to take out the spaces though!

I can't find the print screen picture in the "my pictures" folder! ARRGH!

The way print screen works for me is you hit "Print Screen" and then you hit Ctrl-V (paste) into a graphics program such as paint. Give that a try
