If we backtrack down the slope and turn to the left, we will come upon this row of birch trees and see a bridge that travels through a dense thicket of beautiful foliage.

This is what you'll find on the other side of the bridge- monkey trails! This is the viewing area for the barbary ape.

Great pics as always, Stacie. And I'm with Earl - I like larger exhibits, especially for savannah. Keep up the good work!

You can grab a bite to eat...

Or view the birds which reside in monkey trails, the peafowl.

Good job with the Gelada exhibit. In the first photo, the gray peaks blend with the City Skyscrapers, and it looks like a futuristic painting.
I also see one of those cool arches in another photo, glad you figured them out.

 Yes I know, that kept popping up as I was taking the pictures. I ignored him though because he has an elevated drinking platform and about 6 water bowls from it's keeper

Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments! I hope to get more building done today and I might post some pictures.

Well with my newly downloaded Space Requirement Hack thanks to Sue aka RND, I will be starting a new zoo. I hope to include many animals in this one as the hack makes all animals require only 1 tile of space!!!! Can't wait to see how this turns out - it really is a great hack - I had about 20 elephants in a 6x6 exhibit LOL- and it will truely help with zoo building!!! I will be leaving for camp tomorrow and won't get back until late next week, so expect some pictures later!

Ok, well after playing around with MM2 a bit, I have a few pictures to show. The only ones now are of a Sea Lion exhibit; the first exhibit in the new zoo I have started. Here is the entrance to the underwater viewing area for the sea lions

Here you can be eye-level with the surface of the water

Or you can go underwater and watch the lions!

The last picture is of the above ground viewing.

I hope to get more built soon and more pictures posted! :original:

Thanks!

Here is the entrance to the zoo I am working on now, which remains unnamed (because I have yet to think of one! )

I haven't added any areas/exhibits yet, I'm off to do that now.

Alright, time for the first part of the tour of the zoo. This is the path leading to the right of the entrance.

Here is a look into the food court found in this section- pick from shishkebabs (sp? lol), hamburgers, ice cream, bottled water, or a nice cool soda, and rest under the shade of the massive elephant ear tree!

The first exhibit you will come across is the White Rhino exhibit. Currently at the zoo we have three rhinos. Kesai and Barook are the proud parents of a little boy named Umba.

The neighbors to our White Rhinos are our three Hippos. There is one male- Ping, and two females- Pong and Peggy. Pong is expecting a baby and is due any day now! Here you can see Pong resting.

The exhibit in the middle of this section is the Crested Gibbons. We originally started off with two males and three females, and have ended up with a lot more! The gibbons really enjoy their monkey bars and can always be found playing on them.

Here you can see some decoration around our next exhibit- what could it be?

Here is the viewing area!

Here is the Meerkat exhibit! We currently have a mob of 15 meerkats. There have been several births in the past few months. This is a really fun exhibit- there is always mischieve to be had and it is very energetic!

The path wraps around the meerkat exhibit and enters the second zone of the zoo, which only contains three exhibits right now. Here you can find the playful sea otters. The zoo was donated 4 sea otters which quickly grew comfortable and so far have produced 3 baby otters!

Thanks Budgielover- quite a few more to come as well  (If only Imageshack would stop acting up  )

Turning from the otter exhibit, you will follow this path..

The next exhibit is the Peacock. These colorful birds have adjusted right away to our zoo and have produced many babies. Indie, Oreo, and Choopa were the original birds and the rest are all of their offspring.

Adjacent to the Peacock are the Ratels, or Honey Badgers. These critters are very vocal so don't let them startle you! The original ratel are Rex, Rayne, and Rampage, and they have produced quite a few babies, which we have been releasing into the wild.
