I hate to prove you wrong, but quite recently, paleontologists found fossil grass that dated back to the late cretaceous, it was already highly evolved

Well animal planet didn't really lie to you. The programms you saw on Animal Planet
about dinosaurs were made before the discovery of mesozoic grass

Wow! Thanks everyone! I'll tell some more of the story later today, but I was wondering if anyone has found something special in this story, aside from the fact that it had Mesozoic grass, dinosaurs, a time portal, or any of that stuff. It has to do with a name...

Nah, the secret thing is a name, not a theme. I'll give you a hint, the name is related to dinosaurs, somewhat.

Jack Driscoll and Carl Denham, from King Kong '33 and '05.

Combined make Jack Denham. I'm guessing that is the whole secret thing.

Correct!!!

And, yes, I did kinda make a joke with James Bond, but that wasn't the secret.

Story continues soon.

Now, back to the story!

The Styracosaurs seem to be getting on well, and some are even showing signs of the breeding season. Sergeant and TLM are fighting a bit, possibly because they are going into the rut, but we believe it'll pass when the breeding season is over.

Thank You!

The slow flow of a nearby creek enhanced the atmosphere of the late cretaceous. I was back, but this time I was looking for other animals.

Presently, I was watching a flock of smaller dinosaurs, Avimimus. This was odd, because these dinosaurs were supposed to live in Asia, while I was in North America.

"These must be a new species of Avimimus," I told a few members of my team. I had my sights set for them, an undiscovered species of dinosaur, completely new to science.

Editor's note: yes, I know that these aren't really Avimimus, but they're close enough, right?

I watched the flock forage through the undergrowth, searching for lizards and such. Suddenly, one member of the flock jerked it's head up, cocking it from side to side, no doubtedly listening to something...

In an explosion of activity, a large, carnivorous dinosaur burst from the treeline, headed for the Avimimus. It quickly snatched one up, and sped off, back into the jungle.

The rest of the flock ran for their lives, and accidentally cornered themselves in a small valley in all of the confusion. We took advantage of this oppertunity, and quickly built a temporary fence around one side, so as to keep them there, until we decided to bring them back to the 21st century.
