Demo? Game?

Hi, i really want to buy zoo tycoon 2, but im not sure if it will work on my new laptop.  so i downloaded the demo, and it works very smoothly, and runs very fast, even when i turned all the graphics options to high.  so if the demo works, will the game also work?   i hope it does, i cant wait.

Yay!   cant wait, i will have to go get the game today.  till then ill fiddle around with the demo again lol.  Its a good way to practice though, since i already have the controls and stuff figured out.

Yes and I found out that some things can be put into the demo    I put the new snow tigers pack in to it, everything works, except the paths, those are invisible, but still didn't think it worked. Although it's not that fun, since there's only one map and the game can't be saved

hmm interesting....that does suck about the no saving, i hate starting all over each time. even though i mostly just experiment with making a cool looking zoo, or a very realistic enviroment for the animals.

edit-  where do you put downloaded files into the game? i couldnt find a downloads folder.   i really just want to add the pygmy goat if thats possible.

Just in the main folder, where you can see the other z2f files - that should work

ummmmm. Why dont you guys just get the game (not being rude or anything but your obviously having fun, so why not buy the game and have more fun)

Because I first wanted to try if it worked on my laptop, have just tried it for some minutes - so don't really know it yet (and wanted to see if I could use the game to test my creations), and the other reason is it's a bit to expensive for me at the moment, at least where I live.

well i plan to buy it, hopefully tommorow, though i am debating on chancing it and buying the sims 2 to see if it will work instead.  but who knows, zoo tycoon is cheaper.    

for somereason the pygmy goat showed up in the game, but was invisible. i guess it was recolored of an animal i dont have in the demo.   but the asian lion worked hmm.
