How to build a Reptile House
« on: May 14, 2006, 10:37:44 AM »
I have found a way to build indoor exhibts for reptiles (outdoor ones feel wrong to me)
(Note the only works if you have ES
First build and outer wall to your reptile house I sugest useing Stone wall.
step 1
Now you must delete a section for you enterence, you can add an arch if you like.
Then divede up the inside into seprate exhibts (only one is this case, for speed) add paths.
step 2
Now for the part that makes this and and indor exhibit put and flat elivated path around the outer wall. (to alow keioks inside set it to the 3rd lowest setting
step 3
Next pull down ramps to make it inclosed (unfortunatly there are no coner sections)
step 4
Finlay cover the hole in the roof deleate all those pillers and they you go!
step 5
I hope you find this useful, and ive posted in the right place

I have a way of building houses like yours, only I elevate the terrain around the elevated path for the walls.

Wow, what a great idea. I just built a huge on in my latest zoo. It has a large crocodile enclosure, a komodo enclosure and a tortoise one. I accidentally built it a little too short. I couldn't put any trees in it! So, i built a hole, about 5 by 3 squares, about each enclosure, to allow some sunlight, and to allow room for a couple of trees in each enclosure.

You recindled my love of elevated paths. I can't wait to combine your reptile houses with tanks!

I put in the ES themed lightposts. I also used ES themed fencing and benches. I made it look tropical.

I must say, I have never thought of this, but now that I have seen it, I want to do it! Think  of all the possibilities...... reptile, cat, bird, and primate houses! And even more! :P

Do you have a picture of the inside?

When the next expansion comes out, i'm goin to go crazy with this. Five reptiles, all under one roof(path).

And, with the new live lizards for food/enrichment, we can make an exhibit with those and put them in the reptile house as well!

Those look great, but i think that the cliffs make it look too natural, not like a building. Yours looks more like a natural preserve.
Did anyone even see mine?

Yeah, yours look cool. How di you get the path to be 'faded' so you can see throught the path, but it is still kind of there?
