I have something you may want to add. If you make the elevated path TWICE as high, then it can have trees, those tall enrichment objects, AND dinosaurs! Seriously! I made a trex house, and they have a nest!

hey I found a new way to make them first make a dicth and fill it to the edge to  guest can walk on the top(and if you make the dicth deep enough  you can put trees).an leave just one space big enough for a path and puy the path going down in and booom guest etrable house I sis this and it worked and I had all the reptiles in it but no downloads it was fun

exuse me but has anyone done what I said in this post because am started to feel ingnored a little because I thought some people woul benfit from this because you can make it big enough for any animal and  I just fell a tiny bit ingnored because I spent about an hour on it and I put every reptile in ZT2 in it I mean you have got to try it sorry if am flamming or anything I would just like to some one who used this and liked it?

Flames, I don't think anyone was ignoring you. Sometimes these pages update faster than what some members can keep up with, and rather than look back 3 or 4 pages, they only look at the last 10 posts or so. It is nothing personal, I'm sure. Please explain further what your idea was, and maybe add a picture to further illustrate what you mean, because at this time, I'm just confused (not a hard thing to do, mind you)

Back on topic: I have yet to make one of these. I keep telling myself everytime I see this thread that "oh yeah! I'm going to go do this!" And then of course, never do. *sigh*

i found a gr8 way to make reptile or any other animal houses, make an elevated path to the lowest setting in a large square, go around the outline on the ground with w low fence and then replace it with a high fence with a viewing window, IMPORTANT:
do NOT delete the lower fence just go over it so the fence looks orange b4 u build it this way there is no gap between the fence and the roof. you can also save space on food courts by building them on the roof and adding a ramp. you can even make a skylight by removing some of the roof. have fun:specool:

I jsut made a really good one. A hint , for corners use elevated terrain. If you use cliffs ( flat elevated) it will work perfectly on two levels up with a stone fence diagonally (not completely perfect , but good enough). I'm in the process of experimenting with different walls.Currently I want to see if elevated terrain can make it perfect.

A tip
« Reply #111 on: August 07, 2006, 02:53:09 PM »
Crocs do not look good in the houses, so you should probally not have them, plus they take up too much room, also, guests seem to like the Komodo Dragons better if they have huge exhibits in the house, like real zoos. Also, use the old reptile houses and live prey lizards for an additional 4 animals, up to 8 species, including a snake, in your reptile house.

i think a good idea is to make a komodo dragon and galapagos giant tortise tank with coastal biom.  not only does it look better than scrub, it keeps the animals just as happy as scrub

I put an elevated path over the house, but it's hard work. Here some houses we can do...
Reptile/Amphibian (if you have the frog downloads) House
Aviary
Small Mammal House
Primate House
Nocturnal House
Pachyderm House
Rainforest House
