I always combine rainforest monkeys together when doing a big tropical enclosure. That works for me. But I try to avoid predator/prey conflicts.

samemo, if it has a tail, it's a monkey or a lemur. If it doesn't have a tail, it's an ape. That's the easiest way to remember the difference. So far there are no monkeys in ZT2 (but they should add some!) :)

I tried mixing the Ibex and Snow Leopard in a huge, hilly Alpine exhibit.   The Ibex had "safe" areas where they could go where the Snow Leopards apparently couldn't go(or didn't want to go), due to differences in height elevation (I think).   The only problem I've seen when you mix prey and predators like those 2 is when the prey has offspring.   Since none of my Ibex's were killed by the Snow Leopards, I didn't think twice when one of the Ibex's gave birth.   Sure enough, I should've cared since the baby Ibex was attacked and killed by one of the Snow Leopards soon after birth.   So now, I create temporary "nurseries" where I move vulnerable prey offspring to when they're born (along with their mother).   And as soon as they become adults, I move them back into the main exhibit.   I haven't had another one of these "accidents" since, and I mix predators and prey all the time.   But, I have only been playing the game for a few days now, so maybe I'll have a couple more "accidents", especially with my huge savannah exhibit which has almost all of the savannah animals.

I love mixing animals, 'specially preditor/prey, and the only problem I've had was when my rainforest cats almost whiped out my lemurs.  I had to seperate them then, but only by a natural barrier.  Other than that, I haven't had a problem mixing animals.

I dont usually mix predator and prey...its not that they kill each other, if they are well fed they are fine, but usually the prey gets unahhpy b/c they are always running away and have no time to satisfy their needs <_<

Some animals will work in different biomes, so you could put just a mix of some stuff and put all the animals from one country or something in one exhbit too.  The guests just dont like seeing animals in different biomes as much.

I've found that most animals go togather. Here's a list of what I have in my zoos:

1. Hippo/Flamingo/Croc (keep the crocs fed, and the flamingo poop alot so you may want 2 zookeepers. Also, they need a bigger exhibit if you want to keep any offspring)
2. Polar Bear/Penguin (polar bears gotta be fed, and again, penguins poop alot.)
3. Zebra/Giraffe/Lion/Gazelle/Rhino/Cheetah/Elephant/Ostrich (a HUGE exhibit holds all of them. Alos, since there are so many animals, you have to assign multiple keepers. They can be split up into multiple exhibits, too, like lions and cheetah, giraffes/gazelle/zebra, etc.)
3. Kangaroo/Gemsbok (They'll need a large exhibit because 'roos breed frequently, but they are fairly low maitence)
4. Red Panda/Giant Panda/Peafowl (They all live togather quite well. Assign multiple keepers to deal with the peafowl poo)
5. Gorilla/Chimp/Lemur (They're pretty different, but they live togather well, and I don't seem to have any problems with them)

I think that's all! Pretty much any 2 animals from the same biom can live togather! Oh! Camels can go with either kangaroos and gemsbok, or with savanah animals! Happy mixing!

I usually don't mix all that often.  Usually only savannah, rainforest cats, and I have put hippos and beavers together.  Everything works fine.

One of the best mixed animal exhibits is when you have a waterfall, a waterfall. Put gorillas on the top and lemurs on the bottom. Ocasinally the gorilla somehow gets out or gets to the bottom and can't get back up. I'm going to a different forum so don't think I'm being rude.

Actually, the Flamingo/ Crocodile combination doesn't work. I've tried this and the Crocs eat the Flamingoes.

Not if the crocodiles are fed properly.

I have mixed the Crocs, Flamingo and Hippo together with great success. THe exhibit must be larger though. As soon as there is one complaint about space requirement, you must adopt or release animals, before the Crocs grab the nearest Flamingo.

Black Leopard>Chimpanzee>Mountain Gorilla>Okapi

The only problem with this is that you need to have a large exhibit.... :(
