Yeah once I was making a tiger exhibit but didn't have enough money for fences so I just sunk the ground.  To my surprise I came back to 3 people in with the tigers :shocked  :w00t !!

I guess my style is whatever mood I am in for the moment. I prefer to create exhibits that are easy to view for guest, yet have the most realistic feel to them.

I like using a variety in my zoos. I don't really have a favorite. It all depends on what zoo and what I'm doing or feel like, as to what exhibit type.

Tip: as for the diches you might want to put another small fence on the inside; as well, as one on the outside. If that doesn't help use a different fence on the inside of the dich. (the part opposite to the guests)

Usually my exhibits ar enormal, but if I'm being creative i'll sometimes make a bi-level exhibit, or put in a waterfall or something like that. I never make moats... I just don't like the way they look, but I do make sunken rivers and ravines... Go figure? Lol.

I go back and forth with sunken or non-sunken exhibits.  No rhyme or reason.

And one thing I like about ZT2 is escaping animals.  In ZT if you had a bad fence the animals would immediatly jump/bash out.  In ZT2 you can have what should be innapropriete fencing and the animals won't try to escape unless their really angry.

I use a huge variety of exhibit building;

Sunken
Moats
And my fave is natural borders. I use the plateau making thing shrink the bullseye to 37% then spread it in a large C. Then i use the concrete window fence and make the C a backwards D. Or a right way D or whatever.

I'm not very good with natural borders, even though I'm trying to get better at it.

That's a nifty idea, I'll hafta try that one.

I usually make normal level exhibits.. But I -always- make my polarbear and penguin exhibits sunken. And I have no idea why.. Lots of times I like to have a path that kind of goes 'into' an exhibit, but with the fence around it.

One thing I'm getting in to now, is making one side with a clear view for viewing, then for the rest, I make cliffs and turn them into waterfalls! Mkes a nice barrier and the guests like the beuty!

In challenges and campaigns i use sunken exhibits with hills as walls you dont even need fences for the visitors its a great way to save costs ;)

Really, no fences? And you won't get a message "the animal is not contained, guests will not view"? I have to try that then, I always run out of money in those challenges/campaigns.

yep as long as its completly surrounded. This means keepers cant get out but thats great cos they just go find benches otherwise. Keeps em busy ;)

I always use sunken ever since the strategy giude said they were cheap and the animals were automaticly contained by cliffs.

i like sunken exhibits (cliffs on all 4 sides...or more  )

if im playing freeform..i can afford to have a zookeeper in every exhibit (or more). But i still place multiple gates on every exhibit for easy access in guest mode.

I like it because the animals AND zookeepers are stuck in there, so no more "going to sit on bench" i dont even bother putting a bench in there anymore!!

then, i can use shorter fences for enhanced visability...

my 2nd fave exhibit is cliffs all around (like 3 of 4) then one side flush with the walkway/viewing area..has a great look to it when looking into the exhibit.

I do groups of exibits usualy instead of just one, I like to put in a lazily curved path in, makeing the biggest side a huge ditch, usualy not to deep, and I make the other side a mountain range, putting appline animals on the mountains and savana hebevores in the ditch is my favorite thing to do, I also put a food court in the middle of the path, y'know, makeing a bulge in the path...

mine is to make a rectangular exhibit and put cliffs at the back(i only put waterfalls in if it is an exotic animal)i make a river half way through the enclosure...and have all the trees in one area so the animals have more room to run....it always works for me and the stars go up straight away: :) : : :) : :IloveZA:
