Has anyone ever tried dedicating a whole zoo to one animal? Well I've started one and I'm trying to release as many Ibex into the wild as possible. :P

I have never done that but usual set up breeding programs by building several exhibits together so i have room to breed them for release into the wild.

I did this with ZT1 in one I had breeding programs for panda's, orangutans, cheetah's, leopards(excluding snow leopards) siberian tigers.  and most of the time i had the exhibits full to capicity, but still had many other exhibits for other animals

I am quite animal mad,  I always ignore the guests!!

i made a zoo with just giant pandas and black rhinos (cuz they are the 2 hardest animals to breed).

ilovemyweasel, black rhinos are very hard to breed, but I recommend this, but them with an african elephant, they'll breed.

As for the giant pandas, they breed like bunnies for me.

I've done this with evry animal in the game (inc downloads official and user) i find that the African Elephants are the worst to do because they take so long given birth. My favourite are pandas because once they are settlede they dont stop breeding. Tip, keep the male and female seperate when you first get them as they wont breed for a few months. After the first or second month put ONE female in the males exhibit then once she is pregnant put a new female in, and keep doing that, they will breed quicker plus u can control the amount of babies. Also make sure you have plenty of males, if you have a lot of females. otherwise they forget to eat and only mate.Last thing, animals do breed better in mixed exhibits, especially predator/prey exhibits.

I've done this with lemurs before. It's really annoying at first because they don't want to breed, but once they start, they breed like crazy!!

Maybe the Oct. ZA contest should be, who can breed the most giant pandas within one year of game time! :w00t

Ibex, gazelle, and kangaroos breed like crazy.

I've done this with Beavers and Moose. However, I don't like doing it so much. Alot of times i have Savvanah Zoos with just savvanah animals, because I loves them! Lol. I have a big zoo with almost all of the savvanah animals, except for like, 2, and I speicalize in cheetah breeding. I've got 9 generations so far! Lol. I had one who had 8 total cubs, instead of like, 6, like most of the others. It was really cool. (Tip, though, If you want 8 cubs per female, remove them after they nurse, and put them into a cage with another nursing female. That way the female will get pregnant really soon again. It's cruel, yes, but I get more cubs that way)

The time seems to have flown past. I find That Black Rhinos breed best in large herds in the own biome. However I like keeping animals on grassland, to make it more realistic. So i came up with a great idea i made a zoo with animals on grassland then i made soom really big naturel exibits for animals to hard animals to breed in. Then take a pregnat female and a male out of the "wild" and put them in "captivaty".

I often build breeding centres in my zoos, with 3-4 exhibts , where i keep several specimens of an endangered species. First i raise a pooulation, where there always are young animals to take over from the old ones, so i never have to buy any new, and the i start releasing a whole bunch of the into the wild
