Title: Installing ZT1 Downloads

After unzipping the zip file, place the files as follows

Do Not use the ingame checl locally feature to install ZT 1 files. This adds unecessary files that are hard to locate should you want to un-install downloaded files.  Download the file to a place on your computer where you can find it and then unzip it.  Then use the copy and paste tools to move it manually to the folders as shown in the direstions below.


Animals and Scenery Objects
ztd files
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\Updates (for ZT or ZT + DD)
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\dlupdate (for those with MM or CC)

Buildings
ztd files
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\Updates (ZT or ZT + DD)
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\dlupdate (for those with MM or CC)
dll files (lang)
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon

Scenarios
ztd files
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\Updates (ZT or ZT + DD)
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\dlupdate (for those with MM or CC)

note: you can actually open map and user made zoo files from anywhere on your computer as long as you navigate to where the unzipped file is saved when loading the saved game.

*note - above is default path, if you have installed ZT other than default then please use that path

To install downloads for ZT2 please go HERE (http://forums.ogresnet.com/zoo/index.php?showtopic=108) for the install path to put your animal downloads in.
