I Need Help

Hi,
When I download the animals  (of all types from this site) for zoo tycoon 1, I then go to the main menu of zt and go to new items.  I then go to locally and pick the files,  It then tells me to restart zt, so i do.  
but the animals aren't there when I go to the animals section in the places.  why??
