You need to put the dll files in your main zoo tycoon folder for the descriptions to show up.

ok,uh i havent downloaded anything in a VERY long time and i cant find the:
c:\programfiles\microsoftgames\zootycoonupdates or the other one.Can you tell where to find it??

for zt1 the path is c:/programfiles/microsoft games/zootycoon/updates {or dlupdates if yuo have DD MM or CC.)

How do you install the user-made maps?

to install user made maps you unzip them to:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon\Saved Games

if you don't have a saved games folder just start the game and go Play freeform game - pick a map and open it- then just save it exit the game and follow above path and you should have a saved games folder - you can now delete the game you saved if you wish and install and enjoy the user made maps.

The invisible fence isn't a hack, you just treat like any other download, putting the .ztd file into the updates of dlupdates folder, and the .dll file into the main ZT directory.

First of all, save it to your desktop so it is easy to find. Once it is installed, you then will need to unzip it. Once unzipped, place the file in this directory:

C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon/Updates (or dlupdates if you have Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection.) This directory can be found by clicking on My Computer, C: Drive, and follow the names given from there. If you need this explained more clearly, please PM me and I will walk you through the process.

I downloaded a few animals, and unzipped them to the correct file, and when i load zt1, it gets to the screen right before you click on Load saved game, create new game, etc etc, and crashes.. gives me the send error report thing. any ideas?

It sounds like the animals you've downloaded are having a conflict with something else in your game. Do you have any other user made downloads installed? If you do, take out the animals you've just downloaded, then try to restart your game. If it loads and runs okay, then put in only one animal at a time. This will allow you to find out which one is not compatible. If you are still having problems, you should try to contact the author of the animal files and see what they might be able to tell you.

I cant get anything i download to show up on my game I have Zoo Tycoon Comeplete Collection nd i will download a pack/anamal and i go to Get new items on main menu and click check locally and i click on the file and restart and theni go on my zoo and the animail isint there! I need help

I just unzip the files and stick em in C: Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon

Well if you already have the original ZT with expansions and all you want is the Endangered Species Pack, you can download it here. The Arctic and the Japanese Packs are not available for dl, if you want those as well, you will have to buy ZTCC.

if you have got cfg files yuo have unzipped too far. you need to zip it back up into a ztd file.
