sorry if this was posted but i searched and could not find it. Is there a maximum number of downloads for ZT2 ?

I know that ZT1 as so usually i combine the .ztd files.

My question is because i have about 23 UCI in ZT2 and the game is freezzing (not slowing it really becames slow motion). I have all the exp installed and i noticed since MM2 that my game is slower but now it almost stops.

No because I have like 75 downloads and my game is running fine. Try lowering the graphics or looking at how much memory.

Sounds to me like you're running out of virtual memory. RIGHT click on My Computer/Properyties and see how much memory it shows you've got at the bottom of the first screen.

Computers also slow down when there are a lot of programs running in the background(invisible to you) I don't recommend turning off antivirus or firewalls but I do suggest turning off any other unecessary programs that you see on the lower right next to the clock. Programs like messengers(msn, yahoo, aim, icq etc),winzip and some cd burning software will place a quick launch icon in the taskbar by the clock these can be turned off when playing ZT it will free up some of that virtual memory mentioned by CSL and may speed up your game a little. Also you may need to upgrade the amount of ram on your system in the future to help out a little. Talking to a technician at your local computer store can give you some answers as well.

*gasp* I have that problem, too! I have it on low res, windowed(not full screen because that takes up slightly more memory), and have an XP!

Thanks for your answers.

I  uninstalled all the UCI ´s i had in the game and put them back again (not difficult as a have a folder in ZT2 downloads where i store the ones i´m not using and it doesn´t seem to bother the game) and now its back to normal.

I have 448 MG of Ram what i think is within the game specs and a graphic card that really needs to be upgrated (9000/9100 Radeon). Also i´m on laptop, i don´t know if it makes some difference in game performance.

Since the Beta i always play my game closing all the other backgroung programs except for the firewall and antivirus, but still i can´t run a large map unless i´m in low graphics (and that takes out the fun of the game !) and even that way the game is slow.

As another who usually uses my laptop to play - I can't stress enough the importance of keeping it on a fan. If I turn off the fan for any amount of time while playing the game my game will slow until it eventually just stops...

i used to play on a laptop as well, about the same spec as yours (at least ram and gfx card) and i could play the game properly for a while, but after a while when a lot of guests and/or animals were in my zoo it started to slow down and it only got worse from then on. even with the built in fan my laptop became extremely hot (i could turn off the heating in my room, my laptop was taking care of that) so i would advise you to look for an external fan, there are some special fans for laptops, you place them under the laptop and they are connected by usb, i dont know any manufacturers but i think you could find one in a specialised computer store, or at least order one. without it the slowdown of zt2 is nearly inevitable, the only thing you could do without it is to close down your laptop, wait for it to cool down, then start playing again. one thing you could also do to give yourself more time to play before it slows down is to get rid of unwanted and unneccesary files and programs, free up some disk space. i came across this while playing another game, but it's the same thing, virtual memory uses your harddisk as memory, if your virtual memory is set to a higher value than you have diskspace left it wont do you any good. also the fuller your harddisk the slower your computer will run, so doing a little cleanup and a disk defrag (or whatever you call it) will work wonders, not only for zt2 but your laptop's overal performance. i hope you can find a way to keep playing, i couldn't, didn't think of the external fan thingy and didn't enjoy playing for half an hour then shutting down and wait for my laptop to cool. so i quit playing zt2 for a while, now i've got a brand new computer with the best parts i could afford and the game runs a lot better, but dont feel bad, even with my high performance computer, the game slows down over time. almost everyone has to face that at some point.
i hope i could help (i got a bit of a reputation of giving pointless advise and sharing thoughts which are already commonly known) goodluck and i hope you're able to fix the problem, if you do, let me know, because my little brother now has my laptop

Thanks for the advice, i´m going to look for that external fan, i didn´t even know they existed for laptop.

As for the rest i usually do a maintenace on the laptop every other 3 weeks, clean-up, defrag if its necessary etc, i´m trying not to get clutter also (you now those files we keep and really aren´t necessary). And i have to start thinking on another graphic card.
