Question about screenshot size

I notice that in the rules for uploading files, it says that the screenshot size should be no larger than 220 x 180 pixels....yet when I look at screenshots of user zoos, they are almost always larger than that listed size. Granted, 220 x 180 isn't really large enough to show a zoo, which I figure is why the images are larger. Just wondered if that 220 x 180 was "optional," since I want to upload a zoo I made.

I think it only counts with animals.

That screenshot size is only for your submissions to the download section. For posting in the threads they can be as large as 450x450 as long as they are no bigger than 100kb in file size.

The 450px x 450px size is actually for posting in your messages using the [IMG] tags. Any pics larger than this will be removed. However, for screenshots in Show and Tell they can be any size, as long as the file size is less than 100kb

You were mostly right yellowrose, and don't worry .. I made the same mistake myself

98% of the download submissions have a screenshot attached bigger than the requested 220x180.
If I'd reject them all there would not be much downloads there for you.
So I accept them at my discretion.

Files with screenshots of e.g. 800x600 will certainly not be accepted.

Basically the download submissions work like this:

As a rule:-
Loewenfrau looks afther the animals, packs
I do the objects and buildings

We both do zoos and maps and others that may come in.

There has been a big increase in the amount of zoos and maps submitted and we do not have the time to fix every screeenshot. Therefore basically they are rejected if the submission rules have been ignored, with some exceptions slipping through the system. This does not mean that because some have that we accept all like that-
the only guaranteed files to be accepted are those that comply with the submission rules

So AK, 220 x 180 is not much to show your zoos. Can you change the rule to 450 x 450, at least in zoos?
