I simply LOVE Impossible Creatures. It's a nice hybrid game of animals, RTS, and funky music! I came across it by accident...I'm so glad I did!

What is the game about?:blink:

It's set sometime in around the, 1920s or something like that, but obviously its not like we knew it. This guy named Rex goes to find his dad who he hasn't talked to in years, and from there the story progresses (in campaign mode, that is). You are able to combine two animals; in campaign mode you first have to get their DNA before they are available to you, but in other modes you can use any of the, like 50 animals. For instance, you can combine a bat and a great white shark to get a flying shark...and what's more is that you can choose which parts of the animals you use; if you are using a cheetah and a giraffe for an example, you could use all four legs of the cheetah, or the front two legs of giraffe and the hind two of the cheetah; choose the head, the tail, and the body type, and with just two animals you can make quite an assortment! And every animal has special things about it, like the giraffe can see very far, the gorilla can pummel, the coyote and hammerhead can detect hidden units...lots of choices. Using theses attributes, you make your custom Impossible Creatures army, to beat the foes that stand in the way of you finding out what happened to Rex's father. Or, play with a friend with the online multiplayer mode.
If you like Warcraft/Starcraft, this is the game for you, because its the same concept in a way, but taken to a whole new level!

It is called Impossible Creatures, made by Microsoft and Relic. I think it's being distributed by Atari now, though.

I have this game as well!!! i have the expansion!. I have also downloaded the bonus animal unlocker which gives you dolphin,Wooly Mammoth,Horse,Rattlesnake,walrus and some others.There is a sight all about IC.Go in Google and search for impossible creatures planet.

if you have the 10 the extra animals i think but im not shure but i think the wooly mamoth and sperm whale together make a realy tough animal

Yay! More IC lovers like me! If you want cheats I've got them, posted below in white unless my computer is irritating and doesn't want me to.
Get free coal: enter cheat menu by hitting the little button that says ` and~ right above the tab button and type in cheatcoal xxxx where xxxx is the amount of coal you want. Same thing for electricity, but you have to have the 'cheats allowed' or whatever it is button active.
And does anyone know where you get the other critters? I make all sorts of creatures modeled after mythical ones, and I really want the horse to make Pegasus... so please tell me!

I think my newest favorite animal is the Moosaroo: If you combine the head, tail, and back of the moose, and all 4 legs of the kangaroo, you get a level 5 animal with 39 damage!

Yeah, I do. Did you try to install patches or Insect Invasion? Your trouble might be there.

my tip would be get all the creatures you can get
(if 50 leave 10)
(if 75 leave 25)
and make a lot of creature chambers, anti air towers, and sound beam towers
fill all the creature chambers up with the creature you want to come out when one of your other creatures has been killed

I'm able to use cheats in campaign mode with no problem. Sometimes I have to or I would never get to the next level!

oh yeah. I usually only use the coal and electricity cheats. Mostly coal. Im actualyl stuck in a part right now; I keep getting killed off before I can do anything to keep myself alive! I'll get it eventually, I suppose.

well when you type, above the type box is a capital A with a black line above it. if you click that, you can click on white, and then it brings up little html things. What ever you want to appear white, just type between the [ COLOR="White" ] brackets! [ /COLOR ]

more spoliers the hunch backed guy forgot his name when you defeat him your creatures suround him in a cutscene he backs up and falls in a fan wich then the wind force blows him into the ocean.The reason Rex is part creature is because like this thing happend when Rex was young that made his father use it on him to keep him alive.2nd to last level Julis (sp?) and the hunch back guy drive these creatures to you and you with out a lab because the mission before you take the hunch guy hostage and end of the mission he takes your lab Rex ask a hench men if he can have his helicopter he says but this my chopper so Rex knocks him out any way when thecretures start to charge at him he controls them and makes them turn to your side and they have a cute komodo/tiger body of a tiger legs and head of a komodo head and tail comes up and lickes Rex because he had some problems when turning them to your side and the bad guy Julis (sp?) gets taken away by a cobra/snow owl bog wings feet of the owl head tail of a cobra rtakes him away to the ocean in the sun sethighlet that

He was exposed to a Death Ray that his father was working on. But I thought his mutation was a direct result of that incident, and not because his father used Sigma on him afterwards.

There is the Sperm Whale + Wolverine, with the torso and legs of the wolverine. But with the patch, that becomes horribly expensive. A more practical one would be the Sperm Whale + Baboon. Both are level 5.

Sperm whale + gorilla works good too! I haven't played this game for so long. I get stuck on the one desert place where you have to defend yourself. I get so mad, so i stop playing.

yeah, creationfan, i that's it. I keep...dying! Even with cheats. I don't know if i still have the saved game, though, but please help!

Well if you don't mind using cheats then I definitely have an answer for you:ermm: ! Put in the cheats right off the bat to give yourself plenty of resources and put your henchmen to work immediatly (making a creature chamber). Start making creatures as soon as possible, but until you can do that use Rex to kill off the first wave. Build an anti-air tower so you can learn where everything is and attack them while your lab is being repaired. You probably should attack the generators, but don't forget to leave some creatures for self defense. Try to make a big creature with barrier destroy ability (maybe rhino and scorpion) and a hardy creature with a ranged attack. When you're done with 2 generators you'll probably have to move your lab. Don't wait! Keep using any machinery you have left over in the old lab area (especially creature chambers) to increase attacks. Also build more chambers (mainly aviaries if you use my flying creature) in the new area. Take your animals (either a barrier destroy creature or groups that can attack in huge numbers) over to the remaining geners. and wipe em out! Then you can do the most important part... celebrate!
There are 4 animals that usually pull me through this level, they may help you too:
Rhino/Scorpion: Using the rhino head and Scorpion pincers & tail are a good way to make an excellent destruction crew!
Hornet/Tortoise: The shell & head of the turtle give it a truckload of hit and attack points. Its poison and flight abilities are nice bonuses that help it get the job done. Lump them into a group of about 20 or more and have them attack 1 building and it'll be gone in a matter of moments (even AA towers).
Rhino/Eel: Make use of the Eel's head and tail in this creature, it will be able to take on those larger critters that plague you later in the game and can also double as another demolisher (that's very important to this mission).
Eel/Tortoise: This is good for at least one of the generator spots (upper right). Its needed to take out the AA towers in that area because there are too many for the Hornet/Tortoise. Give the shocking heads to critter (and the tail could help too) but leave the rest to the toroise so it is more hydrodynamic and they have better hitpoints.

OH MY GOD!MY game wont work!My computer is toooo powerful.Why the heck did that happen? the demo runs liek ligthning on my computer.Then we gave it to some girl at gamestop to buy lego styar wars 2.Wich is by the way a great game.

I got mine off Amazon.
My best critter would probably be the Anaconda(Insect Invasion) and the Crocodile.
It would have the croc head and legs and the rest Anaconda, so it has loner!
I made maybe 3 at a time, assigned 2 henchies each, and sent them all to a different place, destroying everything in there path!:hammer2:

I just found my copy from 2 years ago! My best combos were elephants w/ scorpion claws and tails, and lions w/ croc heads and tails!
But the best was a combo of the ant and termite! It digs, and has undermine!

All ant, except for the rear and head!
I made like 40 in one game, and they like swarmed over whatever came, when some died, I just made more because there so cheap!
And as a plus, they can infest while digging!:specool:

Yeah, i won awhole game w/ nothing but those ants, except for a few P.bear/lobster combos (p.bear w/ lob claws+tail)for defense. have the ants dig, and go to infest from below!

it was about $30 new ($29.99), but that was 4 years ago. you could probably get it for a lot less now.

I :wub: the game! I have insect invasion and all the downloads. My favorite thing to do is either make tigers with cobra heads and place them behind those plant wall thingies, and any enemies that come are shot down by the cobra headed tigers. The other thing I like to make are cheetahs with termite heds and make them infestate enemy buildings.

I heard you can make your own animals for this game somehow, and that there are downloads for it.

on a player vs computer game you can make it so your enimy has no creatchers.you make your army and then the enimys army. then you go to the zoo and delete all the enimys creatcheres then play a player vs computer game and select the army with no animals for the enimy. now all that stands betwean you and the enimys lab is sound beam towers!:specool:

The demo's great: you get a full set of tutorials, not one but TWO skirmish maps, and a campaign, probably the first one.
You also get 14 (!) animals to mix.

Lemming
Mountain lion
Cheetah
Wolverine
Porcupine
I'd highly reccommend to anyone who doesn't have the game yet. You can even save your games, a very rare feature on game demos.
It only took me 15 minutes to download, but it might take longer with dial-up.

omg... this is my fave game, with zt 1 & 2 losing by about half a point. it rocks! however, the community is dead, so please join impossible creatures planet, and play me, babale, from IC! or my sister, lioneel, online. there is a new mod called cc, has lots of animals, balanced, and even a diplodocus! (size... 12!)

I've made a team without any weaknesses! It took a long time though, and I did a lot of editing.

No, I used the regular animals. I am not quite sure what you mean, WackyPanda. But the army I made I think has 1 improvement, and no cons.
