no thats not true you can get alien sims in any of the neighbourhoods if you stargaze with the expenesive telescope between 7pm and 2am (or 2am and 7am cant remember which) there is a possibility that your sim will be abducted and if they are male a possiblity that they will come back pregnant with an alien baby - and also there is the maxis made alien skins that you can use to make your own alien sims and to get the asperation there are vartious cheats that you can download or even use the unlockcareerrewards or the asperation cheats that you can type in the bar apter presing ctrl+shift+C

ok when playing the game press CTRL+SHIFT+C and you get the cheat bar up

for the careers cheats type in unlockCareerRewards and press enter (note you must type it exacly as i have typed it)
for the asperatins type aspirationPoints num (the num being your chosen aperation level)

or lockAspiration on which stops the asperation levels going down for all sims on the lot
or aspirationLevel ]0-5] for selected sim which gives a big chunk of asperation reward points to the selected sim - with these you soon will be able to get all the aspirations rewards.

Star-gazing works, but the baby may not be an Alien. There's a 50% chance of it being an Alien, so it's not worth having your Sim gaze until their motives reach zero. (Unless u're using MaxMotives cheat). The best way is to package your Alien Girls from Strangetown over.

its not really going to be called Pets - thats its working title when it was shown briefly at the E3 roadshow - Maxis have already said they will not make the EP just with Pets they will be an extra included in the next EP which they are saying may be out in September.

I have a question. Can you go into hospitals? Or do they have them at all? Thanks in advance.

No you dont have hospitals - you can get sick then you stay at home in bed until you get better sort of like flu.  but if you dont take care of yourself then you die.

lol, sounds like a morbid game  j/k.

My question is: Do you think it is work buying? I played the first sims, and I enjoyed for a little while, but I felt like I got repetitive. Do you think it would be worth getting the sims 2? Is it less repetitive? Thanks!

It can get repetitive, but not if u have the expansions. the ex. packs are so worth it =) the only bad thing is that they dont have cats & dogs and other pets anymore ='( hope that helps

i want to get this game but i don't know if my video card will work. Does anyone know if a ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 will work with the sims 2?

EDIT: To answer my own question, it does.

Cheat Codes
« Reply #91 on: June 28, 2006, 01:08:59 PM »
The best place to get cheat codes is Gamewinners http://www.gamewinners.com. Just search for the game the sims 2. Also The Sims 2 Homepage is a good place.

I also have a question what is the best processor to run this game, building a new computer and need suggestions.

I really hope there's a pet one coming out soon! I loved Unleashed (except the rabbits always ate my veges - I had a photo of my yard with over 100 rabbits in it!) but I can't play it anymore cos Sims 2 in installed :(

I totally agree! Honestly, i think they are coming out with silly expansion packs. The University one was cool, but Nightlife and Opens for Business were pointless. I know the object (especially the cars!) were cool, but there is just not enough variaty. A pet expansion would be cool!

I personally liked Open for Business and Nightlife! My Sims are all running successful companies from home and spend every night out dancing and singing! What a life!

I have yet to get the Family Fun Pack, and I see it is downloadable from the website now. I should have purchased it when it first came out, but I still need to get University.

Well, i guess it's good to hear good reviews for Open for Business. I also heard there is a bug in that XP, which is the main reason for me not buying it. I do like Nightlife, but i would like more variaty. The dating is hard, though! And the cars are so awsome. Whats in the Family Fun XP anyway?
