Ecco The Dolphin: Defender Of The Future
« on: March 10, 2006, 06:14:35 PM »
Does anyone play Ecco? I love it, but it's nearly impossible to get past the fourth level, so I resort to the trusty Gameshark. It is also the creepiest E rated game I ever played, some parts involving making a giant alien queen's heart explode, and falling to your death from bubbles and tubes of water suspended over a tropical island. Some of the music is creepy too. In fact, the music is the reason I don't play the level Sleeping Forces of Doom and probably never will again.

I was listening to the soundtrack for this game when I discovered this thread, :lol Of course, I agree, Ecco the Dolphin is one of the coolest game series ever and DotF is simply awesome. I got a Dreamcast just so I could play it, and I managed to complete it without cheats, or even a walkthrough guide  ;)  (it took ages to do, though!). I still got the game, haven't played it for a while however.

I play the SEGA version sometimes. It was pretty fun.

Is there one that's 3D? If there is, I want it.

Do you have a PS2? If you do, there is a version of Defender of the Future on that platform.

I own it for Playstation 2 (I'm stuck and I haven't played it in a while because of it) I also own Tides of Time for the Sega, and played the first title for Sega as well. Ahh, the memories.

Level one? you mean Aquamarine Bay? If so, you can't fight those sharks anyway. But if you mean the Great White, here is how to beat him. Just get him caught in the rock (like Ariel from the Little Mermaid, you know when that shark attacked her), pick up the crystal thing in its mouth, and start ramming him! And, avoid his teeth...

koala commander those sharks in the distance on level one, u can't get to them, so u can't hurt them and they can't hurt u.  I'll give u the first hint, talk to the baby blue whale, then swim away from them.  (blue whales don't hurt or eat dolphins so don't worry.)

I love Ecco!  It is for ps2 and Dreamcast.  The ps2 one is sooo much better.  I'm only up to roaring forces so far.  Do yall know how to get past that level?
