anyone had babies with the new variant skins? I have been testing my new skins, and no babies will show with them (they don't have the in game skins either, just the original skin.) I have tried with well over 20 breeding pairs of each species, but all babies are the original. Tried taking out all downloads and same thing: no variant skins for the babies.

I think for the babies you have to save the skin as a seperate thing like commonpeafowl_young_F_2 for it to work. I don't know if any animals made by BF came with baby skins.

Some animals as the Cheetah and the Jaguar came with different baby-skins that do work in the game, but there are lots of animals that don't have workin variant babyskins (just as the bengal tiger) and it seems to me, that any usermade variant babyskin does not work too.

I know the cheetah and jaguar are supposed to have baby skins, but I have never seen them, just on the adults. I got the young sknins included in my downloads (except the tiger) but still don't get any new baby skins.

Wasn't the point of BF including variant skins supposed to be to add a more realistic touch (ie. genetic probabililties)??? That was the impression I got, but the whole concept seems pointless if you can't get the rare variants, like the white tiger, through reproduction!!!! :? :huh I'm starting to wonder they went ahead and released it, just with the problems I have had alone.... The patch we keep hoping for is going to have to be huge! Don't get me wrong, I understand that technology comes with bugs/glitches...it just seems like many of the issues that have been mentioned on ZA should have been noticed by someone in the testing stage. :erm

Does anyone know how we are supposed to get white bengal tigers? i read somewhere that you had to mate father with his daughter but they dont want mate together!

Dad wants his old mum and daughter is lookin for feesh blood :erm

Its a random variant skin, so every time you place a bengal tiger, there is a chance it will be a white tiger. You have to have the ES for it to work.

this is OT, but i dont know wehere place it: does user-made skins work like that? because i tried place really big amount of animals i downloaded skins for them (i have them in right directory) and NO animal had this skin, only next generations sometimes changed...

To get white bengal tiger cubs, it has to be part of the thirdgeneration! Hope this helps!

Check your graphics setting........Variant skins only show up on my computer on High graphics. :sad I don't if that's relevant in your situation, gomezhannah, but it's a thought. Hope it helps!

What I mean is, every time I have a zoo with bengal tigers in them, I almost always get a white cub that's the third litter born, how's that?

Well, that's odd (to me) because BOTH times I bought and placed a female Bengal, she was white! But I've had no white babies yet. Strange, isn't it? :8

gomezhannah, Were your white bengal cubs in your 3rd generation (the great-grandchildren of the bengals you bought)?? Congratulations!!

She (i call her Snehova vlocka = Snowflake) is the fourth generation, because i have the third ones as adults... Be patient and you will have them, i am sure

btw, the wolfs with skins someone did are wonderfull!! :w00t

Well, I didn't take pictures, but when my jaguars had babies one was brown, and one WAS BLACK!!
That was EXCITING! :w00t And it was only the 2nd generation - her first litter. So - keep hoping, y'all, it'll happen!

Personally, as someone above said, I believe it's a 'hard-coded' random thing by BF.
