Graphics Card Woes

I'm running XP and my new Zoo tycoon 2 game won't play because of DirectX compatibility problems with my graphics card. Are there any suggestions as to which graphics card I can buy to actually PLAY my new game?!

as there are plenty of topics on graphics cards and also if you look on the microsoft site they will give you a list of what graphic cards are supported this is closed.
