Animals Live Longer

does anyone know how to code an animal to make it live longer?

I know it has something to do with "timeout=60" for example.

my animals keep dying before I have a chance to keep them very long.

does the number (60 in example) mean months?  And how can it mean 60 months if the animal dies of OLD age before the 2nd anniversary.

Help please!!  :crying
