« on: June 18, 2006, 01:08:21 PM »
i've downloaded ape 2 twice& still can't find ANY .dds files.
i have the directx texture tool with the summer 2004 update& i search through all the folders& it doesn't find anything it's compatible to open.

all the files in entities/units/animals/ai are .xml
&all the files in ai/Tasks/animals are  .tsk or .beh

anyone know what i should do? :crying:

ps. :IloveZA:

You find them in entities/units/animals and then find the folder which matches your animal's name and open that.

You must do this in the game files, NOT in APE II's files.

if you are trying to color an animal from the Original, look in the entities.z2f file. For ES: 100_000.z2f, and for AA its the 110_000.z2f file. Hope that helps!

Okay, now this may sound stupid,, but - you DID unzip the entities file, right? If not, you won't see the animals. You should use either WinZip or WinRAR to unzip them.

Also, if you've downloaded Ape 2, there was a file in the entities-codename folder that said readme.  This gives directions on how to get .dds files from the game for the original ZT2.
