From what I understood, APE2 won't be really as APE. APE gave you the ability to build animals from scratch. ZT2 uses nif files as graphic files. Nif files have been a problem thorough the gaming community, they weren't released to fans, the coding has changed since the latest (and only) nif extractor. No fan can make their own nif files. (Aside from the one I mentioned before, but that is an older model, plus only for Morrowind and Freedom Force.)Of course, APE2 will still be great , for coding, re-coloring, re-sizing, but I don't think Sideshow Bob's Ape will give you the ability to import your own nifs into game. And thus, no original animals.Ah yah, you see, I am still very grudgy about this. I like to be creative too, but then in the animal making section. So in a way, ZT2 binds my creativity more then ZT. I do hope, they will release an nif extractor... *crosses fingers* Then ZT2 will rise in my admiration. But hey, the night is still young, who knows what the developers will still give us?As for expensive graphic programs... I say, no, these programs are still available to the gaming community. You have Blender (free), Milkshape (20 dollars, I believe and a trial version, plus, Milkshape had his own nif-extractor (old one) for Morrowind), g-max (free! another version of 3Ds max, less features, but yes, you can make the same animals with it.)As for g-max, I think it has a good change of getting a tool to convert to .nifs. It already has a lot of tools for other games. Now, here you go, update for the fans that like making objects/animals/etc.. Just think of the possibilities when a tool is released for ZT2!

As far I know, I fear the only way is, to let Blue Fang know we really like a nif-extractor. Here is my post, please ask questions if you don't understand.QuoteFrom what I understood, APE2 won't be really as APE. APE gave you the ability to build animals from scratch.
