Need help editing an animal

I am trying to make a custom animal by editing an ostrich. I downloaded Sideshow Bob's APE II and the necessary files for editing. I followed all of the instructions and tested it when I got to Chapter 4. When I opened Zoo Tycoon 2, my animal was listed on the adoption screen, but it was a white square. When I placed it, it was invisible. the zoopedia for my animal only had the extended description, no fun facts, images, or other descriptions. I even remade the animal a second time, and the same thing happened. Can someone please help me fix it?

You have run into just about the most common situation with APE II out there.

The thing is, you must edit and rename all the files in the "codename" folder.

Also, the zoopedia files with APE II are bad for expansions so, instead download the tutorial at the ZT2DC (link in my sig)
