Wrong skin shows up
« on: November 01, 2006, 05:07:05 AM »
Im making brain coral from the OCT, and everything works except the right skin doesnt show up. The origanel small rock scrub skin shows up and not mine... In the lang file, should I use the file it already gives me or use the small scub rocks lang file? If so, should I do the same with the ui folder? Or is there something else wrong?

You need to copy the Materials files, edit the bfb file with WinHex and change the name of the Material files and make sure the file names match up

They are in the same area as the dds files, etc - its a folder called Materials

Huh? The only other folder in the Scrub rocks folder is a folder named "low". Can you please give me the exact location? (etc - cheese/milk/turtles/materials)

^ What do I need to edit in that? Its so confusing with all the random letters everywhere.
Anyway, I found the material files in X100_000. Do I just re-name the file in material to my codename? And, what do I need to edit in the .bfb file? Do I rename this file to?

You can't. They aren't programmed to have variants, thus, you can't make them.
