Skin variants not working

Hi! I went on the downloads on Zoo Admin. I saw the "Realistic Lion" skin variant. I downloaded it, but it didn't appear on my game! Either I downloaded it wrong, or...I don't know! Does anyone have this problem?:pout:

I'm not exactly sure. I ask my dad for help on how to download things, like animals and trees. He told me to put them in the "New Folder" (I'm not really good at folders, so I'm not sure if it's called "New Folder"). I'll ask him.

No, there shouldn't be a new folder. You can tell your dad that the z2f file should go straight into:

C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2  :original:

Well, it's not "New Folder"! My dad taught me a different way to download things. It's not at the place above. It's at zootycoon_com_zt2_1003. My mistake!:happy:

Your dad may have taught you a different way to download (according to your computer) but the only way for variants to WORK is to put them into the path Penguinman gave you:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2. :wink:

I think it only works on the African lion that ZT2 came with. Try it.

It only works for MALE African lions. Remember, you may have to adopt several to see one, because it is a VARIANT. In other words, the chances of getting that skin are only about 30%. :original:

 I tried it, but my african lion still had a dark mane!:crying: I think it will work, if I only have a 30% chance of getting it!

You need to place several skins to see if it will work. Choose your male lion, place no less than 10 to 30, and see if it works then.

Also, when you put it in your Zoo Tycoon 2 folder it cannot be in ANY other folders! You must place ONLY the .z2f file into the C;\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2 directory
