Help! my animal skin disappears when I adopt it

I've never had this problem before, when I adopt my animal and place it in my zoo the skin disappears

It was working fine but now when I adopt it, this is what it looks like



does anybody know what could be wrong with it?

It's a problem with one of the following:

Not linked right in the XML
Not linked right in the NIF
The DDS file is messed up

I checked the dds file and its seems fine, I also checked the NIF files and nothing seems to be wrong with them either. I redid some of the XML files and checked them over. I tried it again and the skin still disappears.


I have my game set for high detail, so I tried setting it to low detail and the skin shows up when its on low detail but not high.

I am not going to leave it on low detail just so I can see the one skin.

Does anybody know why it would only show up on low detail

Did you use the right model? If you went and got it from the "low" folder then thats wrong.

Also, since its from the P. Wild Horse, when you did the XML links, did you have the skins in the right spot? By default it looks for skins in a shared folder, not the P. Wild Horse folder.
